⚠️PLEASE READ⚠️
I started Helium Ever After just under four years ago as a way to help celebrate special occasions in lockdown when supermarkets were empty!

I have been so proud of my little business & have had such incredible, loyal customers who come back year after year for their special occasions.

However I have been struggling with anxiety around the business & have decided to slow down the business.

Balloons regularly have faults in them (it only takes a pin sized hole in a seam for the balloon to go down), so I can spend hours and hours and the balloon suddenly deflates. Any variation in temperature can mean a balloon will pop. They are so temperamental but I take it so personally. Birthdays mean so much - and why I started the business but I worry now all the time. From taking the order (will it go down, do I have a spare), creating the display (is it faulty?), transporting the order (will it pop in the car like the other day), will the customer keep it at just the right temperature? On the morning of the event will they come down to a balloon that has deflated and it will ruin their day? I don’t care about the money - a refund is simple but it isn’t about the money on their day!

I am not the only balloon company obviously, but my personality really struggles with letting people down & I have become so anxious about doing balloons.

Therefore I have taken the hard decision to slow the business down to protect myself and my mental health. I have lots and lots of balloons in stock, so I won’t be closing down but will reduce the number of orders I take going forward.

I understand this message may reduce people booking with me but to confirm I am not closing the business but I will only be offering balloons in stock rather than ordering in specific balloons going forward. This was extremely hard to write but I hope you can understand.

I dreamt about posting this last night and felt such a relief when I work up , that I knew today had to be the day.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ORDERED - I have never once had a customer been disappointed at a balloon change, etc so I know it is purely something I take on myself!
