A sad happy week. Sad as the T54 has been with us since we first started. Happy as it goes to a fantastic new home.
The good news is she’ll be back with us to crush more cars and entertain you. The even better news is she’ll be joined by some of her stable mates.

Holocaust Memorial Day 2025
Today marks the 80th anniversary of January 27th 1945 when Soviet soldiers opened the gates of Auschwitz Concentration Camp, liberating more than 7,000 prisoners. It is estimated that approximately 1.1 million people perished in Auschwitz during the 5 years of its operation.
This important date of liberation will be marked with services worldwide, such as in the UK the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust are encouraging people to join their ‘Light The Darkness’ campaign by encouraging people to safely light candles and display them in their windows at 8pm this evening. As well as having iconic buildings and landmarks being lit up purple during this powerful national moment of commemoration and solidarity.
Today and every day is an important reminder to remember those who were murdered for who they were, stand against prejudice and hatred today and make sure to never forget the victims & atrocities of the Holocaust not only out of respect but also to do all we can to prevent such tragedies ever happening again….

As a show we pride ourselves on the support to military charities and local good causes.

We also try where we can to use local groups to support the ex*****on of the event.

We are seeking a local group to run the car parking in return for a sizeable donation.

Successful applicants would need to be able to field a team of 15-20 people with additional numbers to permit rotation and rest.

A combination of adults/youths is required.

3 day event Fri-Sun with car parking operating 0700-1800 (smaller early/late team main team 0800-1600).

We have dedicated camping available to facilitate any groups.

A rewarding opportunity to assist groups with any fundraising projects or running costs for their group.

Please DM or email through the website if you’re interested and want to know more.

(This is for interested groups to contact us, thank you for the helpful suggestions but we are effectively setting the offer for them) 🙏

🎖️ Today, we remember one of the bravest women of World War II, born in January 1914—Noor Inayat Khan, Codename Madeleine.

When the Second World War shattered her quiet life and her family fled to England from Paris, Noor’s path took an extraordinary turn. Driven by a profound sense of justice, she joined the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force and trained as a wireless operator specialising in clandestine communication —one of the war’s most dangerous roles.

Noor became one of the first female wireless operators parachuted into occupied France —a role with a chilling life expectancy of just six weeks. For three intense months, she risked her life daily, transmitting critical messages to London, aiding sabotage operations, and helping 30 Allied airmen escape.

Betrayed and captured by the Gestapo in 1943, Noor endured months of torture and solitary confinement without ever revealing vital information, saving countless lives. Even in captivity, she resisted with quiet defiance, attempting escape multiple times.

On September 13, 1944, Noor was executed at Dachau concentration camp. Her final word, spoken with unwavering courage, was Liberté—freedom.

Noor’s extraordinary bravery was later recognised with the George Cross, France’s Croix de Guerre, and was Mentioned in Despatches. She remains a symbol of resistance and sacrifice.

There is even more to Noor’s incredible story, explore in more detail in our newspaper gallery

THE CAPEL MILITARY SHOW

Offering fun for all the family, the Capel Military Show will take place at Aldhurst Farm, Capel in Surrey on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September for its 8th consecutive year.

The Show is set to be bigger, better and more action-packed than ever before with more of everything you love. Tanks, cars being crushed, big guns being fired, explosive battles being fought, a unique tug of war and a host of visiting aircraft including the *RAF Chinook.

Set over five event fields is a variety of military exhibitors from the south of England including over 400 vehicles and the best of British, German, Russian and American re-enactment groups. Ranging from the Second World War right though to modern day, the Show will transport you back in time and take you on a journey through military history. It’s not just about vehicles and troops though, the land army are back with their farm display complete with cows!

The Arena fun starts at 10:00 and doesn’t stop until 16:00. Packed with parades of light vehicles, tracks and armour, two battle re-enactments, car crushing and naval gun firing, the Show also has its very special ‘East Meets West’ tug of war. This is no ordinary tug of war, but a contest of might between two tanks, a Russian OT90 and British-built 432., both fighting to capture the biggest share of a car. The winner is whoever comes away with the biggest chunk of steel.
