Farewell to our amazing Kerri 🍊❤️

After 13 years, it is time to for us to wish Kerri farewell. It’s been an emotional journey over the years, we have all been through thick and thin together but one thing is for certain, our incredible memories will always live on.
I’m sure the staff, customers and wedding couples will all agree that Kerri, you have been amazing.

Thank you for all your years of hard work, love, loyalty and support. You will be missed by us all.

We can’t believe it’s pancake day… it’s really creped up on us! 😉

Pancakes are always on the menu at The Orangery, but we’ve got some pretty special ones for pancake day - sweet and savoury! Enjoy in the garden with a side of sunshine. ☀️

Hey everyone, I am pleased to inform you that The Orangery and Mount Edgcumbe are back open today.
The Barrow centre will remain closed off for the time being whilst the council ensure the buildings are safe.

We will be closed today.
As I’m sure you are all aware, a devastating fire broke out at The Barrow Centre yesterday and sadly family homes, businesses and buildings are destroyed.

Mount Edgcumbe will be closed today to secure the park and assess the damage.

Mount Edgcumbe will keep you all updated but for now our thoughts are with the families, businesses and everyone at The Barrow Centre. 🍊❤️

If you’re planning on a wintery Christmas walk around the park or jumping on the ferry from Plymouth we are open 10:30-4pm over the Christmas. 🎄

We will be closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. On Boxing Day we close at 3pm due to the Cremyl Ferry finishing at 4pm.

The ferry is back up and running tomorrow 26th October. Woo hoo!! Well done Plymouth Boat Trips there is no stopping this amazing service. 🍊❤️⛴️

📢NOTICE REGARDING CREMYLL FERRY SERVICE

Urgent repair works are being carried out to Cremyll Slipway, but we are pleased to now announce that the Cremyll Ferry service will be able to resume on Saturday 26th October.

Plymouth City Council is working to carry out repairs as quickly as possible. The Cremyll Ferry service will now remain in place, however, there will be changes to the loading and unloading location for Cremyll Ferry passengers.

The ferry will operate from Cremyll Quay wall at high water and after that from the beach area past The Edgcumbe Arms pub. Signs will be in place and crew and staff will be on hand to ensure the service runs as smoothly as possible. Due to a ramp boarding system that will be in place, disabled and less able-bodied passengers are advised to make alternative arrangements until works are completed.

Plymouth Boat Trips apologises for any inconvenience, we are working to ensure the continuation of the service with as little disruption as possible.

📢 CREMYLL FERRY UPDATE 📢

We regret to inform you that we are still working on a solution to resume the operation of the Cremyll Ferry. Consequently, the service will remain suspended on Friday, 25th October 2024. We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and disruption this may cause.

📢 Cremyll ferry service not running this Thursday

During a review of the slipway at Mount Edgcumbe, Plymouth City Council surveyors identified cracks that needed to be repaired. Whilst plans were being put in place to carry out the works, a further survey was carried out following the recent bad weather. The surveyors found that the storms have caused further deterioration beneath the slipway and repairs now need to be carried out more urgently.

Whilst we determine the scope of the additional damage and understand what repairs are necessary, it does mean that from tomorrow the slipway will be closed. We are currently working with the operator of the Cremyll Ferry to identify an alternative landing location and we are hopeful that this will be in place in the coming days.

However tomorrow, Thursday 24 October, the Ferry service will be suspended. We will provide further updates when we know more.
