We’re hiring.

CornishPod is looking for pasty makers to join the team.

⁃ no experience required
⁃ 4-6 shifts a week
⁃ starting in September (we’re flexible)
⁃ 6am start
⁃ location: Gallow’s Park

The primary role of the job will be to assist in the production of our pasties & pies. The ideal candidate will be hard working, willing to work within a team and have good communication skills.

Whilst we are always looking for long-term employees, CornishPod has proven to be a fantastic stop gap for people who are transitioning between education, jobs or are simply looking for something to tide themselves over before pursuing other goals.

Alongside this, we would also be open to introducing a new apprentice to the team.

Wow, what a weekend! 😅

Bit of a busy one for us. With the pasty production team up at the crack of dawn to ensure that all wholesale demands, general orders and event prep was complete, we managed to firstly turn our attention to Esme & Daz’s wedding.

PodPicnic’s, Charcuterie Boards & Sourdough Bread were transported in the van to Kilminorth where we handed over to their catering team to lay-up and present the food in the afternoon.

By this time, CornishPod is in full flow wedding prep for Jess & Jake’s big day. The team headed down to Cawsand where we prepared drinks to serve upon the arrival of guests. This was swiftly followed by rounds of Canapés before guiding guests to their tables for the speeches.

For starters we served sharing boards.
Mains included Lasagne or Pie & Mash.

A monumental effort then took place to ensure that the marquee was cleared and the kitchen was squared away for the arrival of pasties & sausage rolls in the evening.

Overall, a fantastic team effort from The Pod with many of us doing 12-15hr shifts. With the high demands of our business during wedding season, it is key to have the right people in the right places so just wanted to highlight our appreciation and say a HUGE thank you to the CornishPod team!

Finally, congratulation’s to Jess & Jake and Esme & Daz! We hope you all had an amazing day! 🙌

Hope you’re all having a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend!

We are open today, however, the team will be migrating down to Venton House around midday and operating from there with a range of pasties, snacks & cakes.

We advise ordering in advance and aiming to collect from us before midday if you wish to pick up from Gallows. If not, see you down in the village 🎉

So proud of this young man.

Sam, on the left of the picture, with his family, joined us just before the pandemic. He decided to take the apprenticeship route, instead of A levels, we supported him through a Level 2 Customer Service qualification.

A couple of weeks ago, owing to his commitment, core values, leadership skills and being a part of our ‘Pod Family’, we promoted him to Bakery Manager.

CornishPod fuelled this adventurous group on their hike up Helvellyn in the Lake District the other day. Looked a bit cold. 🥶

It’s got us thinking, is this the highest our pasties have ever been? Helvellyn sits at 950m above sea level and is the 3rd highest mountain in England.
