One of my cub scouts is doing a triathlon to raise money for kids in the Ukraine. There’s a link in the article to donate if can help support him 😊

Barney (Aged 9), upset by the suffering of the families and children in Ukraine wanted to do something to help. 🇺🇦

He has arranged his own Triathlon Challenge.

On Saturday 16th April, in one go, he will swim 250m in the pool, cycle 5.5km in the velopark and then run 5 km.

We have an event taking place this saturday so there won't be our usual themed evening this week, however I have put together a lovely little dish in the theme of "its almost summer and I need to be able to squeeze into my wetsuit again soon so better start eating healthier"

Tex-Mex menu this Saturday!

its taken me a while to finalise this menu as I've spoken to a few people who either hadnt tried this cuisine before or had tried it and wanted to order one of everything. so... I've shrunk down the dishes to more "tapas" sized plates so you can try a few different dishes, I'd reccomend 2 or 3 dishes per person, and coming with a couple of friends as these are great sharing dishes. theres also no particular order to eating this, no starters/mains as such, each dish will come out when its ready, probably all at once. and if you want to order more half way through, go nuts, I should be able to keep up!

Gorgeous duck breast on this week, chicken and mushroom pie made with slow roast lemon herb chicken, chestnut mushrooms and home made shortcrust pastry is back on the menu. fresh haddock fish and chips, grilled sole with garlic & rosmary fries and the usual light bites and burgers on the bar menu. Also, book now for Indian night this Saturday as I need a day to plan and prep, get my meats marinaded and my sauces made.
