Hello friends and Happy New Year. We've recently been working with a local retirement company and a care agency, who have expressed an interest in a hot meal delivery service for their clients who need a little extra help.

I was unaware that 'Meals on Wheels' type initiatives were no longer commonly provided by many councils across the UK. I know there are providers of chilled or frozen ready meals, but few that deliver hot meals for those that are unable to reheat or store food?

I'm trying to gauge whether there is a need in the Torbay community for this type of service? I'd really appreciate any feedback or information, and the sharing of this post to anybody who works in community care or may be interested.

Our kitchen is less than a mile from the beautiful Babbacombe and Oddicombe beaches, which we use every opportunity we get.

As keen sea swimmers and paddleboarders we wanted to give something back and help protect these wonderful places.
