Our summer soiree is back!! A fabulous afternoon of great music, great food, great drink....all right here in Great Torrington! And guess what??? IT'S FREEEEEEE ENTRY!
This is a fundraiser for our newest community project, the The Climate Changing Room so please support our bar and bring your spare change for our collection pots.
You will be entertained by some of Torrington's finest musicians and performers including The Torringtones Choir, Calypso Jack, Hoodoo Man and so many more!!
All the sound is provided by Sunplugged Events using nothing but solar to power the sound. Last year was a great day and we are expecting an even bigger and better one this year so SAVE THE DATE!!!

Just had this lovely message from a new visitor which will be passed on to our amazing volunteer garden team 🥰🥰🥰

We happened across the gardens today after seeing the board in the car park. Absolutely beautiful place, we had delicious coffee and cakes in the cafe then went for a look at the plants etc. Met 2 of the volunteers who maintain this amazing place and they were so informative and helpful and friendly. Needed to get back to the car before packing expired but will 100% be returning. What an asset to the town

We have some fantastic volunteers at Torrington Library. Their assistance with library events, Walk and Talk, Digital Assist, fundraising, stock work, Bounce and Rhyme, Home Library Service and the Community Bookshelf is really appreciated by all the staff.

In recognition of all they do, we held an afternoon cream tea for them in the library yesterday.

A HUGE THANK YOU to you all.

Friends of the Great Torrington Library

Many of you won't know of the Great Torrington Community Development Trust (CDT) but they are the team of Trustees & Volunteers who have developed and now maintain & manage this entire site. The works to resurrect the buildings and open them for the benefit of the local and surrounding community began about 30 years ago. Alot has happened in that time and alot has changed and today the building is home to an array of facilities and businesses including the Torrington Library, the Post Office, Castle Hill Work Hub, Lloyds Bank, Tourist Information, Commons Conservators, Great Torrington Town Council, Fork 'n Feast Cafe, Funked Up - Fluid Art By Loz & Lucy Sheffield Art AND not forgetting out lovely hall and gardens which are available for hire!
Now that this is all ticking along, it's time for a new project...and this one is BIG, and very relevant. We have attached a link to help give you an overiew of this exciting new phase and would love to talk to anyone who might be interested in helping with the project,
