We have been having a very restful winter, settling after what was an epic Samhain event! We are still buzzing from the success of it all and have plans brewing behind the scenes.

In the meantime we’d like to introduce ourselves and a bit more of what we do outside of our events, our own Alice is a tattoo artist (among other things! ) and has a few spaces available in February for some handpoke tattoo sessions!

WOW.

What a magical night, a party like no other.
It was a Feast for the Senses… And we gorged ourselves silly 🤘🏼

The scale of this project was huge, and we couldn’t have pulled off without the time, effort and care we were so graciously gifted by everybody that contributed, whether it be their time and energy or buying a ticket, each piece came together like pieces of a cosmic puzzle.

We’d like to thank all the volunteers, actors and peasants for bringing their unique creative spark and making this dream a reality.

We’re really excited about what’s to come and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to get involved…

What a difference a day makes!

The decks are going in for the stages, the signs are coming along, new benches are being built and the banquet hall floor has been levelled and covered!
The rain wasn’t so bad either yesterday.
Thank you to all the volunteers making this happen and dedicating their time to our community space!

Lots happening this week!
I love the week before festivals/events. Seeing how much a place can be transformed in so little time with the help of our friends and workers.
This week, the lights go up, building of stages, putting up of tents, the tables come out, the chairs come out and the connection of the crews become lasting friendships.

There is no better feeling than sharing food together after a good hard graft.

One of our missions is creating a community venue where we can gather and express ourselves in many different ways. The proceeds are going towards bringing this vision to life.
At Woodlands Rising, this fire pit was created by Laura, Rainer and Mars to hold people whilst they warm their bones, find interesting points of conversation and have a live jam.

It KICKED OFFFF at the Kiwi Jungle in July! This time we're back with a huge set list, plenty of dancing, warm fire and of course vibes all night long.

So what exactly are we creating for our Samhain Event?!

It’s shrouded in a certain level of mystery as is necessary for your full enjoyment of the event, but here’s a little taste of what you can expect…

imagine arriving at a location and being taken on an epic quest, guided by our talented actors you will be transported into another world…

This world is one for you to enjoy and engage with as you like, there will be unique characters to meet, a sprinkle of musical theatre, and a whole load of puzzles to solve!

We are going for immersive theatre meets escape rooms, magical decor and costume….an evening like no other!

These pictures are from a murder mystery party that Alice created last year, for a little taste of the sorts of puzzles and theatre you’ll be in for!

The evening is designed so we can all work together to solve Mr Mysticulous’ puzzles and SAVE WINTER!! There will also be amazing local DJs, campfire jams, a bar stocked with the best local brews and plenty of good vibes, something for everyone!!
