We've had lots of lovely new followers recently, so just wanted to re-introduce ourselves! 👋

Miriam and Andrew have always hoped they could bring up their children on a farm, just like they had been lucky enough to do themselves. After years of hard work, they have now managed to build up a flock of 160 Dorset ewes, and when they’re not doing their day jobs, you’ll find them at Battleford Farm with their daughters.

They decided that they would like to get married in their favourite spot at Battleford Farm, in the secluded, tranquil location, under the oak trees, which has plenty of space for all their friends and family to join in.

Seeing this farm’s options and flexibility, they realised that many friends had been searching for a beautiful spot just like this for their special day. And so they started their little business with the vision that they would provide a beautiful canvas, ready for everyone to create their unique wedding day.

🍎 Apple day! 🍏

3 generations of our family took part in bringing in the apple harvest, processing, pressing and drinking the delicious apple juice!

The juice we made this time was a mixture of Newton Wonder (a very local variety which is good for cooking or eating) and Millennium, a 23 vear old tree which was especially bred for the turn of the century. The cider was made from an old cider tree that we believe is over 100 years old. The cider orchard was here when Grandad bought the farm in 1955!

A year of marriage! We made it! It’s been a busy one to say the least. So special to look back at our special day. Wanting to get married here at Battleford Farm is what started the idea for hiring our barn and field out. Since then we’ve met some incredible people both couples and suppliers. Thank you for all your support so far in our little business journey!

Without fail our rustic tables are always commented on during viewings. Andrew made these for our wedding a year ago and they have been very loved since. They are beautifully wonky and rustic and fit so well in our barn for wedding hire. These are included in our one price. If you’re wondering what else is included send me a message.
