We have Peter Ryeland the man behind the Fish BBQ. He catches all his own fish and cooks them up every now and again. Keep an eye out for any fish BBQ events as they are always fantastic. We also have Jarv, a master at cooking Indian and South East Asian food. Watch out for any of his events as they are sure to blow you away, when he isn't hosting an event you can often find him at one of the fish
BBQs cooking vegetarian options. Last but not least is Tanya Vickers who runs PlumTomato Veggie catering. Tanya makes fantastic vegetarian food and she is often seen catering at local events and festivals. About Jarv:
Living in Lahore, Pakistan was when my real love of food began. We lived with my grandparents and everything revolved around food. Everybody cooked together and ate together as a family, food was at the centre of everything, from weddings and family gatherings to evenings out. Learning to cook was made easy as the young ones would help out in the kitchen from an early age, starting with peeling onions and garlic and plucking the leaves off bunches of coriander . . . surrounded by the smell of onions frying in ghee. Going out to eat is a favourite pastime in Pakistan. We would travel miles for the best naan kebab, haleem, samosa, lassi, paan – you name it ! Street food became an obsession when I was older and I am still inspired by those memories now, 20 years on. Growing up in Pakistan and travelling around Asia has taught me that food really is at the heart of all !! I aim to produce both traditional and evolved Indian and South East Asian food using locally sourced, organic and fairly traded produce wherever possible, to achieve the very best taste and quality possible. Did nick quite a bit of it from my sis, have a look at her website if you get time, it's a bit bare bones but getting there.shamskitchen.co.uk
