Netley Marsh Community Hall are proud to Announce the completion of the Solar & Battery Installation. Massive thank you to New Forest District Council in supporting the scheme with funding via the New Forest Rural England Prosperity Fund.

Following extensive tendering, the support has been excellent from local community provider EVR Ltd

The 7.68kw hybrid solar and battery system will generate 15, 120Kwh over the next 12 months providing as close to self sufficiency as possible seasonally in the U.K.

The battery storage system will allow daytime solar charging or off peak mains charging during winter periods, all providing electricity as cost effectively as possible for out of hours evenings clubs as well as supporting daytime needs for Woodlands Preschool and the wider community.

With increasing challenges faced by the community in running some of the services provided at the community hall, this project supports a drive to make the hall as cost effective as possible and provide ongoing value for all bookings in the future.

The trustees look forward to the next phase of improvements to assist in the users experience.
