2024 New Year - New era for Flowervision Southampton

After sixteen years since we opened our cash & carry warehouse. Fred and Andy are pleased to announce new ownership of Flowervision Southampton from 1st January 2024.

We feel immense pride with the business we have built here since 2007 and appreciation to our colleagues from the U.K. and Holland who have joined us on this rollercoaster of a ride journey. With the 2008 credit crunch crisis, 2016 Brexit vote implications and 2020 Coronavirus once in a lifetime event. Our team has stood shoulder to shoulder and unwavering dedication to keep the supply chain open to you all and building a Flowervision we can all be proud of.

After a lifetime in the flower trade with those very early morning starts, we look forward to well earned normal sleep patterns and spending precious time with our respective families creating new memories.

The ownership team lead by Hans and Brett has shadowed us for the last three years and along with the Flowervision group U.K. and Dutch team, 2024 heralds a new era for Flowervision here in Southampton with new ideas and energy to build a Flowervision that can meet the future challenges and customer expectations.

As the curtain comes down down on our career in this wonderful industry, we say thank you to our valued customers, staff past and present and everyone who had to endure our somewhat enthusiastic banter.

“SEE YOU THE OTHER SIDE” There was a glimmer that we could operate with a skeleton staff and internet orders only. At this early stage in the government lockdown, this is unworkable. We will comply with last nights announcement. Maybe within this lockdown as time passes internet order buying can recommence. Team Flowervision wish you well in these difficult times and stay safe.

Tuesday 24th March - We will deliver webshop orders placed yesterday/ last night to all routes. Cash & carry open for order collections. At midday today we close as government instruction. Who knows how long this lockdown will go on for, we will post on Instagram and email when we have start up information. Andy

“What happens next” keep going, our buying and logistics team in Holland 🇳🇱 are at work Monday morning. Loaded lorry arriving Monday night for deliveries all routes Tuesday (INCLUDING Isle of Wight) cash & carry purchasing and webshop collections. Tuesday forward order list open now and stock webshop opens 2pm Monday until midnight for Tuesday. UK based warehouse so you can make last minute decisions according to situation, can your Flying Dutchman offer that ? Trust Flowervision Southampton to maintain the supply chain and support our customers.

“It’s Saturday, it’s 6am we’ve made it” we’re open until 10am today. Come on down we have a selection of flowers. We have another smaller load leaving Holland 🇳🇱 this afternoon. Webshop opens midday for Sunday cash & carry buying, webshop collections & webshop deliveries (no IOW route Sunday) Sunday cash & carry opening times 6am until 10am. DUTCH FLOWER AUCTION IS OPEN Business as usual, the auction is OPEN we have a full lorry arriving tonight. Contrary to scaremongering by other suppliers the auction is not closed. The supply chain is active. Our information we have is the auction will stay OPEN. Team Flowervision are delivering daily. Our webshop is open as normal. 21 trolleys unloaded, orders picked and crated. Delivery vans have left the unit 7.30am We have flowers and will have a delivery from Holland 🇳🇱 every night. @ Flowervision Southampton
