Flowering the boathouse for F&L’s summer wedding was definitely a highlight of last year ✨

Branches of beautiful Cornish beech provided the base, to which we added a plethora of British garden flowers with a few tropical accents 💕

Little details ✨

Buttonholes don’t have to be boring. This one had nods to South Africa for the Groom, adding a little pop of colour without being OTT!

I always include lots of spare pins too, just in case. No one wants to be scrabbling around after a dropped pin just before walking down the aisle.

Last summer saw the first outing of the wooden arch for P&E’s gorgeous garden wedding.

A lovely alternative to a full flower arch, the draped fabric and clusters of flowers provide a beautiful backdrop to the wedding ceremony.

This August wedding was full of warm sunset colours and included some show stopping hydrangeas alongside dahlias, snapdragons, crocosmia and cosmos to name a few 🌸

Easing back into work after a lovely festive break ✨

I’m excited to get stuck into planning this year’s weddings in between tax return admin and tea breaks!

At the end of November I headed back to Bath to work on the Christmas window, adding festive foliage to their giant ear!

I filled the shop with the scent of eucalyptus, also adding gold ammi and pops of red strawflowers to the arrangement.

It felt especially festive as it started snowing during the installation ❄️

I believe the ear will be travelling to their Bristol and Cardiff stores too.

These meadows started the day in front of the ceremony table and then moved to surround the cake so as to be enjoyed throughout the wedding ✨

The last flower from the cutting patch for this year ✨

I picked this beautiful dahlia just before the early frosts hit last month. Whilst the weather hasn’t been kind for my first attempts at growing it hasn’t put me off. I loved being able to fill the house with bud vases of flowers each week (aiming for full size vases next year!) and a few stems even made their way into weddings 🌸

Hanging out this summer ✨

A floating cloud full of colour suspended in the beautiful domed ceiling provided a focal point for the reception space and then dazzled throughout the evening as the space transformed into a dance floor 🪩

Complemented by simple yet sophisticated ikebana inspired bowls along the tables. If Icelandic poppies are in season when you get married I’d consider these a must have to show off the wobbly stems and delicate petals!

Flower meadows lining the aisle for P&E’s garden ceremony ✨

A beautiful summer’s day in the Wiltshire countryside, filled with colourful blooms and sunshine.

These meadow arrangements were later moved to decorate other areas of the garden and marquee and then I bunched up the flowers the next day for friends and family to take home and enjoy ☀️

A bridal bouquet catching the sunlight before being delivered; my favourite and most nerve wracking part of the wedding day.

For F’s bouquet I used British summer blooms with accents of tropical flowers. The anthuriums in particular were a sentimental flower and featured throughout the day.

F&L were such a fun couple to work with and this was reflected in all aspects of their wedding including the florals.

Flowers aren’t just beautiful, they are a great way to add personality and a personal touch to your venue.
