Our first event of 2025 - Worcester Comic Con from Bolt Events and wows it was BUSY!! Wonderful to be back out and doing what we enjoy the most - making people smile! The whole day was great fun but one of the highlights of the day was to help a young person overcome their fear of characters by giving them a sneak peak of the people behind Optimus and Tigger - she then held hands with Tigger and Optimus as we walked around this gave her the confidence to stay for the day. It makes us proud of who we are and what we can do as a team. Thanks to all we met and looking forward to the next outing at Northampton Comic Con this Sunday

Ok - so we haven’t been as active recently but that does not mean we have stopped!!!! The quiet time here comes from real work becoming busy and so can’t get to many events …. However the down time does give us a good chance to give some much needed love to our characters!
Optimus has had a once over and his feet have been re-soled and he has been touched up in many areas (yes we sought permission first - lol) and so he is in good shape for the 2025 season!
Barricade is next to have a check-up by order from his mechanic - though that should be quite quick and straightforward since he had some work done to him last year…
Tigger might need a “stitch in time to save 9” - but will be tiggerific for when you next see him….

Oh, and we have sponsored Bolt Events as we enjoy their company so much it seemed fitting to give something back to them for their kind hospitality.

Loads of events are starting to go into our diary for 2025, including Cosplay Allstars / Worthing Carnival and also the National Brick Events in Hemel Hempstead later in the year. We will also be frequenting a number of the Bolt Events including Worcester Comic Con. We will also be making an appearance Essex Cosplayers Chelmsford Takeover and MK Film & Comic Con to name a few more.

If you are thinking of wanting us to come along to visit, please get in touch as we may have missed some out from our list… we have other events already pencilled and will drop the various organisers a message in the coming week or so.

Optimus had an out of this world experiance with the Billericay Fireworks supported by Radio Essex. It also gave him a wonderful opportunity to watch the fireworks. Much thanks to Essex Cosplayers for inviting us to attend and also lovely to work alongside Ralphy Ralphy at main stage too (hope my spotter Rachael Watson did you proud on the walk back up in the dark 🙂 - I know she does a fantastic job at keeping me safe too when that tall!)

Slightly later than planned to share these, but had a spooktacula time at the Radley Windows, Doors & Conservatories Aylesbury Halloween event! Barricade made an appearance for a bit of it; though seems he’s afraid of the dark and so decided to have a rest for some of the event… Optimus got into the spirit as darkness fell by being draped in light up pumpkins!
Great to work alongside MJ Productions again, and to have a cuddly bear from Bucks Radio was a giggle too!
The mist in the air added to the spooky night. Barricade and Optimus also had a go at making shadow puppets - hehe.

So - it's spooky season ... and we are out causing mischief at the Radley Windows, Doors & Conservatories Aylesbury Halloween Event in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity on the 31st October... 4pm-5pm SEN session, 5pm-7pm open to all... £1 entry at the Radley Showroom, Rabens Lane, Aylesbury. Also supported by many others on the night, including Bucks Radio.
Will you get a Trick from Barricade, or a Treat from Optimus ... or might it be the other way round!!??
Look forward to seeing you all there...

Well, we are back in Cybertron and relaxing after a busy day at Aylesbury Comic Con … though Tigger has hitched a lift to 100 Acre Wood to bounce around there for the evening as he couldn’t stand the thought of a long journey through space without bouncing!!!

Optimus tried his hand at the 100m sprint on the running track, but think Tigger did a better job though… and Jaws and the rowing bot confused Optimus, yet tigger seemed to know what to do!!

Zoe Crofts did a cracking good job as always with organising the event - you deserve a rest!

Wonderful to meet up with friends from other universes throughout the day - Joker Squad UK Wookie for the hugs and kisses, Ben Armstrong for the fist bumps and music to dance to (and we caught him doing his colouring … he’s a big kid at heart!), Bobby Astalus for his amazing photos that we look forward to seeing, TGP Nominal (and the friendly lady with him) who had a lovely chat with the person who hides in plain sight as Tigger and Barricade.

Can’t wait to see you all again soon at another Bolt Events comic con

Hehe - Optimus had a good laugh today at the Aylesbury Library Buckinghamshire Council Science Fiction event today … he found a few books that caught his eye, one about Transformers Dinobots, a couple to help him learn about the universe so he can “send a message to all surviving autobots taking refuge among the stars”; also he wasn’t sure if he wanted to go on holiday to Greece, or if he needed grease to stop the creaking! Also due to his nature of playing hide and seek at events, a book that said ‘how not to lose it’ was quite apt!
Optimus took a trip from the library to the Buckinghamshire New Uni to have a go with full size arcade games provided by ‘Actual Reality Arcade”, but I think he got frustrated at Space Invaders 😂 and also negotiated a revolving door to get in.
He met another out of this world character ‘Sparky the Robot’ - but I think we need a dictionary to know what he was saying as Optimus has only “learned Earths languages through the World Wide Web”
