Wedding vibes at the lovely Kirsty & Iains wedding at enterkine house.
Weather didn't want to play ball at the times when it should be clear with no wind or rain. But we managed to get out and get some lovely shots for the awesome couple outside and inside of the venue.

I love it when a plan comes together ❤️ perfectly with &

OK, it was roasty toasty like we were somewhere warm then it was freezing and blowing us away with the winds later on. Planning and making that extra time is soooooo worth it.

But the couple and I had a fabby day getting the photographs 📸 they wanted for their engagement session. Happy

P.s I have seen photos getting used for table decorations on some vinyl at weddings. Or used for a guest book.

These sessions are so good before your special day because you get to see how I do what I do and when your day comes along it helps you with your nerves and you also get so much information to take away to implement for your socials and master your selfies for the future.

Hello, my name is Derek, and I want to share with you the remarkable journey that led me to become a photographer. My story begins in a small mining village in Ayrshire, where life was tough for my family. Born in 1984, the start of the decline of the local mining industry, which once sustained the community.

Despite the challenges, I always had a creative spark. From a young age, I found solace in art, excelling in drawing and painting. However, photography seemed like a distant dream, reserved for those more financially fortunate. Growing up, I admired the wildlife programs & photographers from David Attenborough, but pursuing such passions felt like chasing after a fleeting breeze.

It wasn't until my late twenties that I reignited my passion for photography. Fueled by a desire to break free from the constraints of my upbringing, I took a leap of faith into the world of photography. It was a plunge into the unknown, a journey from what I thought I knew to what I would come to understand.

Despite initial reservations and my own social anxiety, I discovered a natural talent behind the lens. I embraced simplicity, capturing the raw and authentic essence of my subjects. With each photograph, I delved deeper into the "why" behind the image, uncovering stories that begged to be told.
