🌸🦙 Cleo is a Llama Queen! 🦙🌼

I know, she has only just had her epic ‘Prince & Princess’ themed party with her brother, but with Omicron threatening the fate of that January event, I had planned ‘subtle’ (😅😬) at-home set-ups for both my children’s actual birthdays, so they still felt special, if the big party didn’t go ahead.

Thankfully it did, but of course, Cleo had to have the same as her brother had back in December (remember the Titan the Robot themed set-up?), and here is the finished article! 🌸

Cleo has always loved cuddling her pink fluffy llama toy (see if you can spot it), so a pink llama meets 70s flower power theme was the natural choice as she turned 3! 😆

Then I found this huge, electric ride-on llama online about 6 months ago and knew it would form part of the set-up, as well as being her main present. In fact it inspired the whole aesthetic! I created a custom illustration of the llama and applied it to pretty much everything! 😍

💙 BLUEY! 💙

What an absolute delight getting this awesome theme to work our magic on for little Beau who turned 5 on New Year’s Eve!

Mum Becky was the lucky winner of the joint Instagram & Facebook Giveaway between The Event Brander & Oakus Pokus and she won our deluxe party frame set up - a 2mx2m white frame adorned with custom themed balloon Garland and number stack and custom event design and branding with a suspended backdrop and coordinating ribbon.

Katherine and I love all the extra special touches that make an event pop, so we even created some matching real life and illustrated balloons, for total synergy! 😍

The Bluey-mad family were over the moon and little Beau’s beaming smile says it all. 🥰 (How cute is she playing with her new Bluey playhouse in front of her set up!) Thanks mum for sharing the fab pics of the Birthday girl.

✨ 2021 RECAP ✨

Wow - what a year it has been! I only started this little business in February after Lockdown sent me loopy and I turned my kitchen into the set of Moana as my baby daughter turned 2! 😅🌸

Since then I’ve had the pleasure of designing and branding so many parties, backdrops, signs and goodies for some awesome people.

Putting joy on people’s faces (especially little ones) in these strange times is what this business is all about, so it’s super special to sit back and smell the roses 🌹 for the first time and see all the happiness I’ve helped to create.

Most of the branding here has been created in the hours after midnight as I’ve juggled this start-up alongside being a mum to 2 small kids, as well as my main job as a Caricaturist (Cornwall Caricatures), so this is the first time I’ve actually taken a step back and given myself a pat on the back for what I’ve achieved.

Not for too long though! 😅 I don’t do the ‘sitting still’ thing too well. I’m already planning the first events of 2022 which looks set to be a bumper year. I can’t wait for all the unique themes, OTT and extra celebrations and bespoke requests to come. Throw your ideas my way, I’m ready! 💪🏼

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their event branding this year - you put your faith in a new company and it means so much! 💕

Another massive thanks to all the companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with to deliver some spectacular set-ups. When you run an Event Design business and your child has a birthday, you kind of have to go all out! 😅 This was actually meant to be the ‘low key’ home celebration, with a joint party planned next month, but we don’t really do ‘low key’ at The Event Brander! 🤦🏻‍♀️🥰

So, may I present to you, my son‘s Titan the Robot themed 5th Birthday party!

Kasper fell in love with Titan aged 2 after seeing him dance to Gangnam Style on TV’s ‘Secret Life of 4 year olds’ - we then watched him in the flesh (or metal!) at Penryn Town Council’s annual fun day in 2019, but due to the pandemic, it was another 2 years before we got to see him live again at Woodlands Family Theme Park Devon this Summer. Kasper remained his biggest fan throughout and the robot passion never faded. I actually cried happy tears in August, seeing my son reunited with his hero, so there was no question in my mind what his surprise theme would be this December! Titan - we love you!

🖤🤍⚽️ 🎵 “I got love for you, if you were born in the eighties!” 🎵⚽️🤍🖤

This was a tricky brief to nail initially as the client opted not to have the recipient’s name on the sign, but I still wanted to inject some personalisation into the A2 sign, so we went with the ‘80s angle. The brief was a silver and black football theme, so I decided to go for a bold and punchy retro feel to keep it sophisticated and masculine. The client loved it! This was a custom A2 branded sign and easel hire.

You can also see how the customer styled the event with their own black and silver decor - love the attention to detail! 🥰

It was my absolute pleasure to design & print this bespoke ‘soft play rules’ sign for The Neutral Events Co, which had its debut appearance for . Leah asked for the sign to be neutral and on brand for her fab company (check it out!) while also containing a space at the top where she could customise it with custom vinyls for all her different events. The material also needed to be durable enough for this purpose, so The Event Brander designed, printed and posted to its new home in Liverpool!

Time for some colour on the feed…

Who recognises this little black bunny?

Thank you to the lovely Daniella for booking me to create a Bing inspired design for her little Cove’s 2nd birthday.

Creating a themed logo with your little one’s name is kind of my speciality! 😍

Pictured is our 2m x 2m white frame and a custom 180cm x 1m panel sign. The frame can then be dressed with homemade balloon garlands or you can book a talented balloon artist to dress the frame for you.

The incredible Oakus Pokus was booked to dress this frame today which I was so excited about, but sadly she was struck down with a sickness bug and couldn’t be there. Luckily Daniella had some spare balloons to hand, and a few Bing soft toys, so with the rest of my white ribbon roll which I had on me, we bashed this together last minute, to accent the sign. It’s good to see how the sign can look with a homemade balloon arrangement, and please do also check out my photos for some examples of professional balloon setups with the insanely good Oakus Pokus, who I’m looking forward to working with again next month.

Loved creating this custom hen party sign for Jess, organised by her lovely tribe of hens. 🧡🌾

The theme was autumnal shades of burnt orange, cream and beige with pampas and gold accents with a clear design brief with the fonts, colours, sizing and placement.

This is also the last hoop dressing I will be doing as much as I loved doing this one for Jess. 🧡 It’s not my specialism and not where my heart lies - I always set out to be a design and branding based company but in the very early days of portfolio building, offered balloons and embellishments to accent my signs and get a better shot for the ‘gram. However I’ve now been in business for 6 months and it’s time to hang that hat up and stick to my niche of bespoke branding, signage and branded items. I’ve got 15 years of experience designing for clients and this is what makes me light up. Ironically my balloon machine broke as I was blowing up the last balloon, so it was meant to be! 😅🎈

From now on I will be working alongside the talented Oakus Pokus for all your balloon artistry and hoop dressing requirements - the perfect combo with The Event Brander signage. 🙌🏼

The gorgeous Arlo recently turned 5 and his lovely mum requested a woodland theme.

The Event Brander created his birthday branding and provided this A1 birthday sign, easel hire, as well as thank you stickers for cake boxes.

Mum Lisa styled the party perfectly with Kraft boxes and bunting to match the rustic theme, as well as commissioning this epic woodland cake!

Pinch me moment!

15 years ago I was dancing around my room to The Pussycat Dolls, now a Pussycat Doll is dancing on a 360 video with my logo on it!

I was honoured to have been approached to provide the Branding, Design and Illustration for the 4th Birthday of Maple, daughter of the one and only Kimberly Wyatt.

The theme requested by the little lady was a Wonder Woman meets Spa mashup, so obviously I had to create her her own WM logo, inspired by the iconic character. Thank goodness her name started with an M! I also drew her a Wonder Maple character and her own shield sign, inspired by Wonder Woman herself. I had so many ideas, it was so much fun channeling it all into this theme and working with so many fellow creative businesses to collaborate on such an epic set up.

😷 Mask off, Party On 🥳

I was overjoyed last week to finally host my outdoor (VERY belated) Birthday/End of Lockdown BBQ, originally scheduled for May. However, it had to be postponed to 3 different dates due to weather 🌧, before finally being able to go ahead! It was definitely worth the wait, what glorious sunshine we have had here in Cornwall. ☀️

It was my pleasure to design this completely bespoke unicorn themed, circle hoop sign for the lovely Alexis who just turned 5.

The brief from mum was: Unicorns, pink, blue, purple, and can you add fairy lights?

Yes we can! ✨

The product in question is a 60cm diameter circle sign, hanging from our 80cm hoop which is available to hire.

Also featured are her custom badge and matching birthday card which make the perfect additions to your own custom designed signage.

💜 Jodie’s Baby Shower 💜

This one has been MONTHS in the planning, but I’m so excited to finally share the effortlessly gorgeous girl Jodie’s surprise Baby Shower set up.

Jodie is a dear friend of mine and after having 2 boys, she told me she was surprised at how girly she had gone in buying clothes for her first daughter, and that’s when the cogs started turning for a surprise Baby Shower. ⚙️ When I saw this lilac wicker chair on Facebook Marketplace, I had an instant vision, and the idea for the white, mauve, lilac and baby pink floral theme, with pampas and palm accents, complete with Pregnancy Throne, was set!

Thanks SO much guys for bearing with us on my first ever giveaway and thank you to all the amazing people who entered and also who double-checked their entries today - by doing so it did result in lots more people being put into the literal pot as it were, so well done!

Also a little apology for actually being too meticulous yesterday! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Double checking things is what I’m all about as a designer and I was SO careful to ensure entries were only included if all entry steps had been taken, (to keep it completely fair), that I ended up being too careful. The 5 people who I referred to as being the only valid entrants were actually 5 super keen beans who had shared the post across BOTH myself and Oakus Pokus’ pages, (when in fact only 1 share was needed to qualify), so this threw me momentarily, but after triple checking, and including all today’s new entrants, we actually had over 130 in the running! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Love the keenness though, it’s awesome! IMPORTANT GIVEAWAY UPDATE:

Myself and Oakus Pokus have counted and collated all the valid entrants for our joint competition and despite there being almost 100 awesome people who have liked one of our pages, tagged 3 friends and liked and shared the post... only 5 of these people have liked BOTH our pages and therefore only 5 people would go through to enter the giveaway.

This seems such a shame to all the people who have entered.

Therefore we have decided to reopen the giveaway for 24hrs from 8:30pm tonight until 8:30pm tomorrow (Sat 19th June) to give people a chance to make sure they’ve followed all the entry steps, after which the draw will be made and announced.

☀️ Custom Wedding Invitations ☀️

With the sun shining today, it’s very apt to be sharing the wedding stationery of sunshine personified herself, the beautiful Sadie Jill Photography.

I had the pleasure of designing Sadie’s wedding stationery back in 2018 and she gave me an awesome brief which I was so excited to have smashed for her!

I absolutely love when clients come to me with a long list of things to include, style inspiration and favourite colours etc. It really is so much fun trying to combine it all together into one project. Throw me all your screenshots, Pinterest links and lists! 🥰 I even managed to add in a cute nod to the couple’s precious pooch Biscuit - can you spot him? 🐕

Once the stationery is complete, the branding can then be applied to signage, paperie and branded items on the day itself. Send me a message to discuss your vision!

✨ 2021 RECAP ✨ Wow - what a year it has been! I only started this little business in February after Lockdown sent me loopy and I turned my kitchen into the set of Moana as my baby daughter turned 2! 😅🌸 Since then I’ve had the pleasure of designing and branding so many parties, backdrops, signs and goodies for some awesome people. Putting joy on people’s faces (especially little ones) in these strange times is what this business is all about, so it’s super special to sit back and smell the roses 🌹 for the first time and see all the happiness I’ve helped to create. Most of the branding here has been created in the hours after midnight as I’ve juggled this start-up alongside being a mum to 2 small kids, as well as my main job as a Caricaturist (Cornwall Caricatures), so this is the first time I’ve actually taken a step back and given myself a pat on the back for what I’ve achieved. Not for too long though! 😅 I don’t do the ‘sitting still’ thing too well. I’m already planning the first events of 2022 which looks set to be a bumper year. I can’t wait for all the unique themes, OTT and extra celebrations and bespoke requests to come. Throw your ideas my way, I’m ready! 💪🏼 I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their event branding this year - you put your faith in a new company and it means so much! 💕 Another massive thanks to all the companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with to deliver some spectacular set-ups. Thanks for choosing me and believing in me to visualise your theme and give your event that extra special touch. Collaboration is what this industry is all about, so thank you to those who respected me and welcomed me with open arms - you know who you are! Also a little apology for actually being too meticulous yesterday! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Double checking things is what I’m all about as a designer and I was SO careful to ensure entries were only included if all entry steps had been taken, (to keep it completely fair), that I ended up being too careful. The 5 people who I referred to as being the only valid entrants were actually 5 super keen beans who had shared the post across BOTH myself and Oakus Pokus’ pages, (when in fact only 1 share was needed to qualify), so this threw me momentarily, but after triple checking, and including all today’s new entrants, we actually had over 130 in the running! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Love the keenness though, it’s awesome!
