✨ 2021 RECAP ✨
Wow - what a year it has been! I only started this little business in February after Lockdown sent me loopy and I turned my kitchen into the set of Moana as my baby daughter turned 2! 😅🌸
Since then I’ve had the pleasure of designing and branding so many parties, backdrops, signs and goodies for some awesome people.
Putting joy on people’s faces (especially little ones) in these strange times is what this business is all about, so it’s super special to sit back and smell the roses 🌹 for the first time and see all the happiness I’ve helped to create.
Most of the branding here has been created in the hours after midnight as I’ve juggled this start-up alongside being a mum to 2 small kids, as well as my main job as a Caricaturist (Cornwall Caricatures), so this is the first time I’ve actually taken a step back and given myself a pat on the back for what I’ve achieved.
Not for too long though! 😅 I don’t do the ‘sitting still’ thing too well. I’m already planning the first events of 2022 which looks set to be a bumper year. I can’t wait for all the unique themes, OTT and extra celebrations and bespoke requests to come. Throw your ideas my way, I’m ready! 💪🏼

Another massive thanks to all the companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with to deliver some spectacular set-ups. Thanks for choosing me and believing in me to visualise your theme and give your event that extra special touch. Collaboration is what this industry is all about, so thank you to those who respected me and welcomed me with open arms - you know who you are! I can’t wait to continue these fab working relationships and create more in the new year.

Also a little apology for actually being too meticulous yesterday! 🤦🏻♀️😅 Double checking things is what I’m all about as a designer and I was SO careful to ensure entries were only included if all entry steps had been taken, (to keep it completely fair), that I ended up being too careful. The 5 people who I referred to as being the only valid entrants were actually 5 super keen beans who had shared the post across BOTH myself and Oakus Pokus’ pages, (when in fact only 1 share was needed to qualify), so this threw me momentarily, but after triple checking, and including all today’s new entrants, we actually had over 130 in the running! 🤦🏻♀️😅 Love the keenness though, it’s awesome! I had to mention this, as I want to keep this totally transparent and I’m sure many people would be wondering how the entrants had grown so much in 24 hours, it was just me being OTT in the accuracy. But of course, being OTT is what The Event Brander is all about! 🥰
