Workshop dates are now live on the website!

We have two creating hand-tied Bouquets, one just before Mother's Day - a perfect gift for your lovely Mama or Granny. Or you can do it together for a really special experience 💐
We have a living Spring wreath workshop here at Koselhearts HQ.
And I'm also really excited about hosting a Wedding Florals workshop on the 19th June , also here at Koselheart HQ.
Places are going fast but if any of you are getting married this year or next and would like to learn how to create their own florals with my D-I-Y buckets,then please do get in touch. More dates can be arranged👰‍♀️👰‍♀️🤵🤵❤️

Snowdrops....
A sign of rebirth, positivity, and purity. So beautiful and crisp against the blue skies we've been enjoying the last few days here in Cornwall.
Apparently the bulbs contain galantamine, which is used to treat Alzheimers and this tiny little flower was the first plant that it was extracted from. An all round, good egg💚

Calling all -mers 🎁

I also have some exciting news🥳 .....I'm starting a monthly flower club in Newquay. A dip in and dip out club where you can come any month you fancy. We can chat flowers, and you can take home a little project you will have created.

Though can you tell by the look on my face, I'm excited to be able to concentrate on decorating my own front door now!🤣

Presents could well be wrapped in foil this year a la Smithy stylee from 👌....cards...well....I'll just wish you ALL a Happy Christmas now!

My last wreath workshop down at the Boathouse in harbour on Thursday 🎄
Started off a little challenging as we had a power cut for 40 mins ..... But the ladies took it in their stride, and with the help of a few phones and tealights, they cracked on!🤣
And they created some absolute beauties💚

Thanks all for coming...and bearing with me in the dark🤣And to Cailin from the Boathouse for belting up the hill to buy candles...what a 🌟 !

It's "pinch punch... 1st of the month time"

December is one of my very favourite months... obviously we hopefully have the big man visiting 🎅 later on in the month!

But for me, it's the anticipation of allowing yourself to rest when it gets darker, earlier in the evenings. Making yourselves sit down next to a fire, playing games with family, watching telly, reading books...and of course lighting candles. I just love them, and it really doesn't feel quite as RIGHT lighting them in June does it!
So my advent candles are ready to go ⬆️ and I'm bringing it with some lovely smelling foliage too..... just heaven💚

What's your fave months? (My very fave month is May...in case you wanted to know😉)

So, following on from my post at the end of October...here are the chitted ranunculus claws all starting to wake up and gather growth (this was taken a week ago).

They're going to go in the polytunnel next week, heavily guarded against mice and voles! Double layer of netting, and last year, I used peppermint oil on balls of cotton wool ,which seemed to work.
Apparently, mice aren't into minty clean breath....🐁 🙏

They all did brilliantly and produced some stunning wreaths💚

Last bucket picked from the field for the year...I'm amazed the Dahlias carried on for so long. Proper troopers😂

Now, to put everything to bed for a few months of R&R...
But not me...nope....I'll be creating wreaths and swags for your lovely front doors and meeting a lot of you on my Wreath courses 🎄 (Availability on stories today). I can't wait!

First of the ranunculus going into chit....who would think these weird looking little alien corms create such beautiful flowers?
Classic ugly duckling into beautiful swan. I just love them even if they are a little bit diva-ish!

I soak mine for around 3/4 hours, plant them in the right way up...legs down! Cover lightly with a mix of soil and vermiculite and keep them a little watered. They should start to chit in an unheated area after a couple of weeks. I'll show you them again in a few weeks when I start planting🤞

I always keep a few back to do in January, too , in case the voles/mice get them. It seems 2 spaniels are not enough to keep the rodents away....unless they're rats🐀
Then you're absolutely talking..... The 'A' Team😂
