seeing as everyone loved the purple look from Easter Sunday, I thought I’d do a lil purple themed Transformation Tuesday 💜

the photo on the left is from 2020 (yes 😱 only 4 years ago) and the right was from Sunday… I’ve been doing drag a looooong time now but I’m still learning, evolving and developing and it’s nice to remind myself of the journey from time to time!

On Easter Sunday, ᴅʀᴀɢ ʙʏ 𝕺𝖇𝖏𝖊𝖈𝖙, Evilyn Carnate, and Roxie Moron popped down to Gingers Diner for the grand opening, and oh my, was it a blast! A massive congratulations to our drag sister, Ginger, on making her 1950s retro drag cafè a reality, we are all so proud of you!

Easter Sunday also happened to be Transgender Visability Day, and we all wanted to acknowledge the importance of this day, one which we hold very dear to our hearts. Ginger's Diner has officially been designated as a safe space for Trans, Non-Binary and Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) individuals (extending to the wider LGBTQ+ community) through the Transparent Presence CIC business allies scheme. Through donations from ourselves, as well as other local drag monarchs, namely Rhianna Rocket, Felicia of Cornwall and Beau Bon, we were able to pay for and install the plaque on the day as a symbol of not only ours, but Gingers commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and it's members as a business owner.

What an incredible place! A perfect setting for the gender diverse community to be seen and safe today on Transgender day of visibility. We are absolutely lost for words. On Saturday, in collaboration with Hawkins Arms, we helped to raise over £10,000 for Bonnie's family. To see so many people come together to raise money for this beautiful little girl, was enough to bring all of our hardened queens to tears.

Bonnie's story (as told by Bonnie's mum) is a difficult one to listen to, but we would encourage you to give it a go and if you can afford to donate sometuing, please feel free to do so. Every single penny counts and if we can help them out even further, then that would be amazing!

This Saturday, we are at Hawkin's Arms in Probus for a very special and unique event, helping to raise money for a very special little girl called Bonnie.

Bonnie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma which is an aggressive bone cancer in her leg just before Christmas 2023. After Graham and Philip (the owners of Hawkin's Arms, Probus) put out an urgent request for drag queens, we could not in good conscience refuse our help.

As Graham and Philip said, "we want to support Bonnie and her amazing parents to help with the financial strain they face, and Caz's Diner (named after one of Hawkin's Arms very own waitresses) is opening it's doors this Saturday to help raise funds." Springboarding off that sentiment, as a gesture of goodwill, we have waived our performance fees and asked that the funds be reinvested as donations for Bonnie.

If you can spare any additional funds no matter how big or small, please use the link in our story highlights to donate to Bonnie. It would help her and her family out massively.We send all of our love to Bonnie.
