You showed up and we were pretty much sold out on preorders alone. Its been a journey and been an honour to have you on the ride so far.

Here is to the next journey and I hope your ready for the crazy that is The Aussie Smoker. Bringing Aussie style fun and good vibes to Cornwall with the aim to make people smile through our BBQ food.

From the driveway in Goldenbank, the tiny corner at Chintz on a Wednesday night, The Outback at Ponsanooth and the yet to be named, new HQ in Penryn, a massive thank you.

The end of an era, is on Saturday. BBQ HQ will be open for just 5 more hours in Ponsanooth. Unless you are lucky enough to be at a wedding or Xmas party catering from Sunday until Feb next year when we move, this is your last chance.

Preorders have gone nuts, and I highly recommend you orders yours now for any remaining time slots. We are close to selling out of Smoked Beef Cheek Burgers already, and if so we will come up with a plan for those who dont order and risk it on the day. Not sure what it will be but it probs wont be beef cheeks.

is also having a huge party so there will be lots on and people coming down.

A bit behind target and 8 days to go. Thank you to all that have been so generous. A couple has even booked us for their wedding party at our new venue through the crowdfunder and it has got me all nostalgic. Read on if you can be bothered. You may get pins an needles if on the toilet. Hehe

I always dreamed I would cook for people. When I was 15, back in Perth, Australia, I was asked, "what do you want to do when you grow up?"

" A Chef" I replied, to which a top chef said to me, "Do you think you would want to work when everyone else parties?"

So, I followed my other passion and got a degree in Exercise Physiology. But something always bothered me, I loved cooking especially BBQs.

Did my mates liked me or just liked that I always cooked for them. I also knew Ioved a good party, especially a dress up party as the party starts the moment you get your invite and the theme.

Putting all of this together and technically never being formally taught how to cook except from my family and Uncle YouTube, I set out to create a fun Aussie vibe through BBQ food right here in Falmouth. Oh I married a girl from Falmouth, thats why I'm here.

Never would I thought I would have cooked for Ant or Dec (still not sure which is which- as I never grew up with them), international musicians that I loved from my youth eg Groove Armarda, feed over 900 people in 3hrs at Culdrose, send my products all over the world or win The Best Alternative Caterer at the South West Wedding Awards 2yrs on the trot.

It started with a dream at 15, and now I am 42 on the otherside of the world and embarking on the next part of this journey.

What could make a fancy dinner better? We surprised every table with our Honey Mustard BBQ Sauce or Chilli BBQ Jam for dinner.

We had the best response from people and even had a a couple of people pull it out of their jacket later in the night like a hipflask.

People are already booking the space for 2026 and 2027 for their birthday, framily meals and corporate events. Book both space and host up to 50 Guests. We have already booked our first wedding here just last night.

Don't you hate not having your own space to host and have the best time of your life. You dont even need to do the dishes because its at our place.

Works out at £19.60pp when you have 25 people. Its BYO Booze so you save money automatically on going out.
