It felt so good to be back doing what we love this week and HUGE congratulations to Katie & Elliot after so long and a few postponements we were so delighted to see their wedding come to life, we wish you every happiness for a wonderful life together!! So over the moon for you. Thank you for being so lovely to work with and it was a delight to be back at the truly beautiful what a way to start the season!

Waking up early this morning to see the team off for todays take down I saw a rainbow over the farm. Easter always feels like such a special time, always a time of firsts. First bluebells arriving in the hedgerows, first new shoots on the bare branches of the tree near our house, The first date with my husband many years ago, first Tipi set up under a pink full moon 5 years ago. First baby lambs here on the farm, first wedding of the season with a gorgeous team. It feels good when it feels like family ❤️

It was a pleasure to work with Da Bara Bakery in the Garden again this weekend and we can’t wait to sample some of their incredible food as their kitchen opens this week! Thank you guys for the breakfast sandwiches this morning! I know our family will be in for refreshments after winter walks on the Roseland .. Perfect timing for Christmas ❤️

THAT feeling when you get straight out of bed and step outside. The feeling of the crisp air on your skin and the smell of the earth as the sun gently warms and wakes the world around you. The smell of cut grass, the warm sweet smell of braken and pine in the forest or the salt that sits on the air we are lucky to breathe all over Cornwall. It’s what sustains us. These sensory rich experiences that we are able to encounter as humans are essential for our mental and physical health.

(Extract from Science daily) A study conducted last year by researchers at the University of Plymouth, Natural England, the University of Exeter and University of Derby, was the first to investigate -- within a single study -- the contribution of both nature contact and connection to human health, wellbeing and pro-environmental behaviours.

The findings were based on responses to the Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment (MENE) survey, commissioned by Natural England as part of DEFRA's social science research programme. The team looked at people's engagement with nature though access to greenspace, nature visits and the extent to which they felt psychologically connected to the natural world.

Lead author Leanne Martin, of the University of Plymouth, said: "In the context of increasing urbanisation, it is important to understand how engagement with our planet's natural resources relate to human health and behaviour. Our results suggest that physically and psychologically reconnecting with nature can be beneficial for human health and wellbeing, and at the same time encourages individuals to act in ways which protect the health of the planet."

As restrictions ease here in the UK it is essential we do all we can to protect the world around us. Enjoy the outdoors, leave nature as you find it, leave no trace and connect with our beautiful world. What are you doing to enjoy nature around you today?
