The Joe Box, a mobile coffee and tea van, will be visiting the Rec on Bank Holiday Monday morning from about 9am. Do come for a stroll on the Rec in the sunshine and see what he has to offer. Coffee, tea, cakes etc.

I’ve noticed that people keep throwing away their household items in the Village Hall bin. The Hall (which is a charity) pays for this bin and lately we have to pay an overweight fee because of how much it’s being filled. I requested a key to lock the bin and now today someone has dumped this next to it.

A simple request, can you please not and if this is yours then please remove it.

The Main Hall has had a paint job 😍 Eventually the wood line running around will also be painted but I think it looks SO good. Shout out to Seb at SEF Home Improvements, he’s your guy for pretty much anything!

Let’s please try and keep these walls looking like this. There are hooks dotted around so nothing needs to be stuck on the walls 🙏

UK Power Network will be digging up the road tomorrow morning. They’ll be digging at the beginning of the car park so please don’t park in the car park as I’m unsure you’ll be able to get out once when start work.

There are quite a few cars parking inconsiderately today. This is another reminder that the Hall car park is for PAYING Hall users. The Hall has bookings today and it’s likely they won’t be able to park in a place they’ve paid for. There are a number of sign dotted around that says it’s a private car park.

I am blown away by how busy it was yesterday! Thank you so much to everyone who came. Thank you to all the stall holders. Huge thank you to Amy Sankey for organising the raffle prizes. Thank you so much to all the businesses who donated a raffle prize. Thank you to those who donated cakes for the cake table. Thank you so much to Katy for organising the lost toy hunt around the rec. Thank you to my Mum for helping set up, running two stalls and cleaning up. Thank you to my lovely friend Amy for helping setting up and running a stall. Thank you to all the mini makers. Thank you to Rascals for the delicious food and drink. Thank you to my lovely neighbour Claire for helping me out signs up around the village. Thank you to our lovely caretaker Seb for helping out. Thank you to the Snooker Club for being open to all.

Sadly my morning was dampened by an unpleasant resident who wouldn’t move his car after I had put cones everywhere to save for stall holders and the pizza van. I understand parking is difficult in the village but after working so hard to organise this 3 hour event, I didn’t think it was much to ask to simply park elsewhere until 5pm. The Village Hall car park is for hall users and paying hirers.

Sorry to end such a lovely post with that but he really upset me yesterday especially when I was on such a high all morning. Regardless, the Winter Market was a smashing success and we’ve raised lots of money to maintain our lovely Hall ❤️
