But it got your attention while I talk to you about when you have to say goodbye to somebody special. It isn’t an easy subject to talk about. I wanted to tell you that I am a Celebrant. I call myself Celebrant of Sussex and I am very proud to have been asked to conduct funerals for well over 500 families. As a Celebrant, I can include just about anything - spiritual or otherwise - that the family

wants for the person they have lost. Many funerals are being livestreamed so that they can be watched at home by people who are unable to be present. Your first call will normally be to the Funeral Director. I work with excellent Funeral Directors who call me when they feel that I am right for a family, but there's no reason why you shouldn't check me - or any other Celebrant - out first. You can choose who takes part in your ceremony, based on their personality, compassion, empathy and ability to listen and understand exactly what you want for the person who is special to you.
