But it got your attention while I talk to you about when you have to say goodbye to somebody special. It isn’t an easy subject to talk about. I wanted to tell you that I am a Celebrant. I call myself Celebrant of Sussex and I am very proud to have been asked to conduct funerals for well over 500 families. As a Celebrant, I can include just about anything - spiritual or otherwise - that the family

wants for the person they have lost. Many funerals are being livestreamed so that they can be watched at home by people who are unable to be present. Your first call will normally be to the Funeral Director. I work with excellent Funeral Directors who call me when they feel that I am right for a family, but there's no reason why you shouldn't check me - or any other Celebrant - out first. You can choose who takes part in your ceremony, based on their personality, compassion, empathy and ability to listen and understand exactly what you want for the person who is special to you. Over Albion (Terry Lees and Natasha Norodien) are returning to Bridge Cottage, playing their own versions of traditional folk songs and tunes with some wonderful harmonies

Terry Lees is a world-class acoustic guitarist winning guitarist of the year in 2000 and described as an ‘Absolute guitar virtuoso’, BBC radio. Natasha Norodien is a folk singer, guitarist, and flautist with a ‘Staggeringly good voice’, Broadstairs Folk Festival. Having met in 2015 at the local folk club in Uckfield they discovered a shared taste in folk music and have since teamed up to become a duo ‘Over Albion’. They have just released their first Album ‘Over Albion’ which can be found on bandcamp: NATASHANORODIEN.BANDCAMP.COM

Funerals. Not an easy subject to discuss. And few people want to. And when you need to organise one, where do you start?

I didn't know either. Now, I have conducted well over 500 funerals, as a Funeral Celebrant. You can ask me anything.

The last four funerals I conducted were for families who had seen me at a friend's funeral, or for people who know me.

Nobody needs to have the officiant chosen for them. It is absolutely your choice who conducts the funeral of somebody who is special to you.
