The Olde Mill is a family run establishment specializing in private functions, parties, christenings, weddings, funerals etc. There are a wide variety of menus to suit all occasions and budgets and we can hold up to 240 guests. Also licensed for Civil Ceremonies in The Mill Room Suite with its vaulted ceiling and traditional beams. We serve traditional Sunday Lunches some weeks but please contact

us for further information. We also have a luxury holiday apartment - The Loft Gallery which can sleep up to 6 guests. Premier Outside Catering is part of The Olde Mill and offers catering at your private home or a venue of your choice.

Salt Roasted Baby Potatoes - perfect size potatoes finished with creme fraiche and chives.
Beetroot & Goats Cheese Terrine - layered with creamy cheese, herbs and black pepper.
Honey Mustard Chipolatas - need we say any more?! ... our homemade sausages of course!

How can this be over a month ago already?! What a gorgeous set up we had for Debbie & Marks special day ... pretty pink chair ties, hanging wisteria, twinkly backdrop, towering table florals and the most perfect day!

We set up for the breakfast in both the Mill Room and Function Suite with the top table on an angle able to view all guests equally. People often ask what the set up looks like across both rooms so ... here you go!
There was also an amazing cheesecake from but more on that later!

A Glamping Wedding! Earlier this year we were catering at High Haume Farm Glamping for the beautiful wedding of Dayle & Tom. This location has the perfect ceremony backdrop with amazing views overlooking the Duddon Estuary. Phil and Sarah are an amazing team and helped throughout the weekend to ensure everything ran smoothly (they even took part of the fence out to give us easier access to our catering area!)
A stunning marquee from PSR Marquee Hire with a windowed ceiling and walls for enjoying the daytime views and dancing under the starts at night! And check those table centres out ... absolutely gorgeous!!! The cake was a towering 3 tier semi naked sponge decorated with fresh flowers and enclosed in a cake hoop supplied by Jodie from
Dayle arrived in true fairytale style with the lovliest horse drawn carriage from and Lakesloos and Event Support looked after the essential facilities!
Our oak bar was set up offering a range of beers, wines & spirits with Peroni Nastro Azzurro on tap and of course lots of fizz, we served afternoon tea for the wedding breakfast to the tables including a selection of sandwiches, homemade pastries, scones & cakes.

We're looking for some new recruits!
We are a function venue and outside caterer situated at Bardsea available for events 7 days a week (you don't have to work all 7 - only family work these shifts if required unless you want to join us of course!)
We are looking for people interested in food preparation (raw and cooked!), front of house serving (need to smile!), drinks service (steady hands), cleaning (know how to use brush and hoover) and setting up for functions (moving furniture).
Own transport is essential (or lifts) as we are out in the sticks abit! Good sense of humour helps, attitude to want to work required (jobs get done quicker and we all get home to bed earlier!) Good communication skills with other staff and customers always usefull!
We do work late nights and long hours!
