On National Sibling Day, there's no better time to reflect on the special bond between siblings/best friends. If you're planning a wedding, you know that your brother or sister will be an important part of your big day.

DECOR ideas 💡
Don’t want to drown your already beautiful venue with too much decor?
Keep it elegant by draping marigolds, mirrors or even fairy light strands!
Here we have an example of how we decorated our very own Mehndi party earlier this year! It was an outdoor space which had loads of fresh lemon trees, a flowing T-shaped fountain and beautiful white cobbled stone floors! 🍋

Site visits continued…
This was actually suggested to be our back up venue for all our wedding events, it was highly recommended we move all our outdoor events to indoor spaces, as the forecast for our wedding weekend was RAIN! Once I share our very own final event spaces you’ll hopefully understand why I stuck to my gut instinct and said no to this marquee option for our destination wedding!
Many couples opt for marquee weddings in the UK, and they can be decorated absolutely beautifully, however for us our guests were flying over to enjoy our destination (Portugal) not to be in a opaque white marquee and not to be able to see the beautiful views! At the end of the day, that was a personal preference and I wanted to stick to our vision as much as I could! Do whatever makes sense to you as a couple!

A setup like this for a bridal couple can only mean one thing - FOOD TASTING!!!
Such a memorable or most talked about part of weddings is food, was it hot, tasty, enough of it… the list goes on! Let’s face it, Indians love talking about food at weddings - “the starter was cold”, “the sauce was really nice and spicy!”…it’s important to find a caterer that not only you like the taste of their dishes, but also that you can build a relationship with and people on the team you can trust to deliver and exceed your expectations!

This was the setup for our very own food tasting in Portugal back in February 2020…just weeks before the national lockdown! We were extremely lucky to have been able to get this food tasting for our wedding reception sorted early on! The food was absolutely amazing - catered by the lovely team at

Weddings can move like fast fashion, trends change, we want to make sure there’s enough food and then get too much food, so then there’s a lot of waste.

“Mo Money, Mo Porblems”

- Be realistic about your budget!
- Thingscan and may cost a lot more than you anticipated!
- Budget as if your finances depended on it!
- If parents are contributing or paying for your entire wedding & pre-wedding events, discuss and consider what their and your limits are.
- As a couple, you may want to spend a larger chunk on your DJ and Entertainment, but not much on decor. Factor this into your estimated allocations.
- Once you receive quotes you may need to adjust again for a more realistic idea.
- Don’t just say yes, really consider if something is worthwhile and within your means.

💒 We launched our event & wedding planning services a year ago!
I adorn people in Henna & also design Home accessories such as cushions, artwork and gifts on the side.

I have 10yrs+ Events Experience worldwide. Working and Managing small to large scale seminars and events on Personal Development, Business and Financial Management. Since 2010 I’ve been grateful to have planned and managed a variety of events; from coaching seminars with 500 people, to large scale exhibitions with 42,000 delegates. I’ve managed, liaised and communicated with well known public figures and their teams from Richard Branson, Tony Robbins to Bill Clinton (the secret service were interesting to work with!) Lord Sugar, T Harv Eker, John Lee & Ruby Wax!

It was when my partner and I started our own wedding planning that I saw myself branching out and building my own business!

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 🌱

As restrictions start to get lifted, and we go back to planning our lavish, big and beautiful events, let us take a little consideration as to how we can protect future generations and incorporate more sustainable materials or options within the event/wedding.
That could mean using paper straws or bamboo plates for your reception meal. Or maybe you could source local suppliers to reduce your total carbon footprint? All it takes are a few changes and you will make a difference. Something is always better than nothing.
So the next time you’re thinking about shipping in the finest gold cutlery from Italy for your reception, take a moment to pause and reflect on whether it’s really worth the domino effect and impact it could have on our Planet.
As always we are all entitled to have our weddings and events as grand as we have dreamed, but we can also be flexible and have an impact for generations to come. One change we make today, may be the inspiration another bride/couple needs themselves!
