Hello! I don’t often post pictures of me, but here I am living my best life with some of the most juicy coloured British dahlias and zinnias from .uk . Ah, I like to think I love all seasons equally, but autumn has a special place in my heart! 🩷❤️🧡💛

Thanks for the photo and for the dreamy space to play in!

When your pedestals pop! ✨🌸

Roses, dahlias, cosmos and all the late summer good stuff for a beautiful September wedding. This pedestal began the day at the church, and was later moved to the marquee entrance to add a colourful welcome for the drinks receptions. Which is your favourite pink flower?!

Oh I do love a good buttonhole!

It might be a small in size, but it makes a big statement. I like to use the highest quality ingredients to create a visual stunner that includes lots of textural elements and that coordinates with all of the other flowers on your day. When it comes to size, colour, ribbon, the choice is all yours!

Your buttonholes are made fresh on the day, and I keep them in water until the last minute so they are in tip top condition for your ceremony and photos. I also do my best to always be in the right place to pin on the all the buttonholes securely on the day - no one likes a wonky buttonhole! 🤪

Sustainable and seasonal 💚🌸

Swipe to picture 2 to see what lives inside this flower arch. The completely adjustable metal frame gets used over and over at different events (thanks Nathan !). The moss and chicken wire don’t get thrown away but reused too, and we just soak the moss when it dries out and reshape the chicken wire as needed. The troughs at the base are filled with water and have a chicken wire insert to support the stems. No yucky floral foam is involved! As and when the arch gets fully dismantled for storage then the waste is about a dozen cable ties plus about 75cm of florist tape used across the top of the troughs for support.

Pretty much all of the flowers and foliage are from local British growers ( .uk ) with some of the roses from sustainable overseas suppliers ( ). And after the event most of the flowers were handed out to local friends to be enjoyed at home, with the foliage destined for a large compost heap (see final pic of Joe 💪🏻💪🏻 .uk helping with this!)

Flower friends 🌸

Ever wonder how many florists it takes for a Belting Blooms event to happen? Here I am last weekend with (who grew some of the flowers) .uk (who also provided flowers) and Not pictured was who worked tirelessly in the studio, who provided a LOT of buckets of beautiful British flowers and who provided a LOT of sustainably grown roses. And then behind the scenes there’s and who all had a role in sourcing excellent material to work with including fresh British foliage. It takes a village to flower an event!

Last weekend this team went above and beyond working in wind and rain, navigating a waterlogged marquee field that meant we had to transport all our heavy crates and buckets on foot uphill. They did it whilst smiling and working flower magic 🙂 Thanks guys!!! 😘

September got off to an incredible start this past weekend, flowering a beautiful wedding in the South Downs. Despite the storms the delicate, seasonal pink flowers were bright and joyful, and looked absolutely at home in the most picturesque setting 🌸

I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team:

Seasonal. British. Beautiful. This was the brief for the showcase working with as part of These textured and twisty forms can really only be achieved using garden grown flowers, and in this case every stem was grown within about 30 or so miles of this central London event, so no air miles involved, and a few of the roses were even grown by me in my own little flower patch! It is exhilarating to step away from the imported flowers we are familiar with and capture the local season in a bowl. For your next event, why not give it a try?

To bouquet or not to bouquet… that was the question! This gorgeous bride thought long and hard about whether or not to go with a bouquet. I get it, they’re an investment piece, and she knew she mainly wanted to have her hands free for friends and family and for partying the day away! I have to say I’m SO glad she opted for the flowers - totally worth the investment for this beautiful, seasonal pop of spring colour 💛💚🤍 (and happily I think she agrees!)

I’m also beyond grateful for photographer for these pictures. I tried so hard to take a snap on the day but absolutely nothing I took did it justice. Thanks Johnny!

Spring vibes 💚

You lean a lot about someone on their wedding day. H&N did things a little bit differently. They married at the stunning new building ( people should definitely check out the church’s midweek coffee house ☕️👀). They both mingled with all their guests before the service, with H sneaking to slip on her dress only a few minutes before their ceremony started. They had three beautiful ‘groomsmaids’ as well as a gaggle of unbelievably helpful ushers. And it turns out it was the groom rather than the bride who changed his surname. Truly, if H wasn’t already a friend I’d want her to be one, and N seems like a very fine human too.

When it came to the flowers we went spring all the way. Daffodils, anemones, tulips, and other seasonal yummies made up the bouquets. They wanted something a little bit soft and woodlandy for the ceremony, and so we chose planted hellebores and ferns in moss covered pots, arranged on various height tree stumps, with some spring meadow arrangements mixed in. A little bit different, but rather fabulous, just like H&N 😊

When small is beautiful 🤍🤍🤍 Clare and Jon had a beautiful, intimate wedding day in September last year. They married at York House in Twickenham, had their reception and then partied the night away with friends and family in a private club in town. They didn’t have huge flower requirements, just a bouquet and buttonholes. These were made from seasonal, locally-grown flowers, including my absolute favourite - Cosmos. What a treat to provide these delightful floral accessories for this very stylish couple.

Bridesmaids and bouquets 💐

One of the things I’ve enjoyed doing in the last few quieter weeks is looking back over the galleries of 2023 weddings and reminiscing about some beautiful flowers. I love making bridesmaid bouquets, and making them dazzle in their own right (while being careful not to upstage the bridal bouquet!). I love the soft style of these bouquets, complemented beautifully by the pale flowers. Not even two weeks until the first Belting Blooms bouquets of 2024 are made - I can’t wait!

Light and bright ✨

This grey, windy, rainy week is making me look back to brighter days! This gorgeous wedding took place on the hottest day of 2023… in a greenhouse 😅 I was a bit sweaty at the time 😂, but now I’m ready for a few light, balmy evenings again! This lovely couple chose bright flowers for a stunning pop of colour in this spectacular setting 🩷🧡💚
