Loving the dahlias this year!
Seasonal, locally grown flowers, kind to the environment especially the bees :) We only use organic pest control, no floral wire or foam, all wraps etc.

We have a large garden at our home in Lower Horsebridge, Hellingly where we are growing seasonal flowers to cut and sell for the local market. Not only do they have the minimal carbon foot print, we only use peat free compost (80% of our compost is made in our garden) we are also bee friendly with three hives in our garden. are recyclable.
Loving the dahlias this year!
If you missed out as we weren’t at Hailsham market today and would like some flowers we have some bouquets ready to go. Cut last night and arranged today :) collection today or tomorrow from BN27 4DN. All £15. Message me if there is a particular one you would like and will put it aside for you.
Jam jar posies ready for tomorrow 10-4 … looking forward to a dry and relatively wind free day 🤞💐bouquets also available.
Such a gorgeous evening in the garden! So still but a lovely temperature! The flowers loving a respite from the wind and humidity :)
So many gorgeous flowers and colours in the garden at the moment had to include as many as possible in this birthday bouquet … so hard not to 😂💐 This Saturday we will be at 10-4 so lots of these beautiful flowers will be available to buy as a bouquet, by the stem or in jam jar posies :)
When you get to do your own wedding flowers .. what a fabulous day we had!
An experiment … both seed trays sown at same time, same supplier of seed .. same germination time but the difference in growth since!! Stagnation from the commercially bought peat free compost and great growth from our own compost. I know other growers have had issues with growth stagnation after germination this year. Was a pain I’ll admit to prick out the weeds from our compost but will
be more careful what we put in it in future … worth it though to have stronger healthier plants .
And thank you and for putting your faith in me to bring the vision for your wedding flowers to life! A beautiful setting for a lovely couple 🙂 x
‘We recently used lovely Becky from Misty Acres Flowers for our wedding day flowers. From the get go she was so lovely to work with, very thorough on checking what our vision was and collating all information needed for the day.
Becky and her team did a fantastic job on the days leading up to the wedding and of course the flowers were absolutely beautiful!! Some pictures attached to show how amazing everything looked! Thank you Becky x’
So lovely to receive this review today! A brides bouquet is very special so always an honour to be asked :)
‘I highly recommend Becky at Misty Acres Flowers. She came to the rescue and organised my bridal bouquet with just a couple of weeks notice. I put all my trust in her to deliver a beautiful home-grown bouquet full of seasonal flowers and she delivered exactly that on the day. She made it super easy for us to collect the bouquet and venue flowers on the morning of the wedding. Do reach out to Becky for your wedding flowers!’
Thank you Bronwyn ❤️
Back at Hailsham market today :) beautiful weather! The dahlias are putting on a good show today! 💐
Battling the wind today! But hey at least it’s not raining :)
The dahlias are looking mighty fine this year!! Some will be making an appearance at East Dean village market tomorrow 10-2 .. a new one for me but excited to see how the flowers are received! No Hailsham market this coming Saturday but back there on 17th August.
Zingy zinnias are coming 🔥! The first of many hopefully!!
Hailsham market this morning with lots of gorgeous bouquets and jam jar posies 💐 here till 1pm but also can do free local deliveries if you can’t get down to the market 🙂 Medium hand tied bouquets £15 and jam jar posies £5 and £10. All locally grown without use of pesticides … the bees love our flowers as much as our customers do!
Lots of choice this morning … here till 12.30pm. Saturday back . Free local deliveries though if you can’t make it either markets :) 💐
Hello you beauties! Always something new blooming in the garden this time of year! ❤️ 🌻
Sharing just because we all need a bit of summer vibes on an otherwise grey day!!
Thank you to everyone who bought flowers from me this morning! Lovely to be back and hey guess what? We are allowed to trade again next week as the council officially cancelled todays market again but I could trade as I have my own gazebo. But there was a bonus as I did have one bouquet left which is now looking beautiful in my daughter’s room … rarely have time to cut flowers for our home! So see you lovely people next week again abd also I will be next Thursday 25th July. If you would still like flowers this weekend there are some :) Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!
Such a time saver! If you are working sustainably and using a lot of chicken wire you need this! But maybe you all have one already and I’m late to the party !! 😂? wire arrangement
So sadly no Hailsham market this weekend now they are on their new ‘regime’ of first and third Saturday each month. No market last weekend which was the first Saturday .. they cancelled it as staff involved doing something else .. so not a great start!! Next Hailsham market is scheduled for 20th July. But don’t despair .. plenty of gorgeous flowers and new varieties to grace your homes :) Just need to order from me via your preferred communication method! Messenger, email, what’s app and telephone .. no one’s tried carrier pigeon yet but am sure they would find us! New varieties this week include, sedum, scabious, salvias, clary, eryngium, cosmos, malope, allium sphaerocephalon and echinops . And FREE delivery within 3 miles of BN27 4DN. 💐
Apologies as not at Hailsham market tomorrow. It is supposed to be the first of the bi weekly markets (1st and 3rd Saturday each month) but they cancelled it as their staff who put the gazebos up are involved in an office move. But don’t forget I’m here to take orders for flowers .. local deliveries or collection from me. 24 hour notice needed so I can cut, condition and arrange them for you. Flowers are available on the Ringmer road too this weekend.
What a wonderful and thoughtful surprise to receive this in the post today! A very lovely thank you from Jamie and Emily whose wedding flowers I did back in May ❤️

What’s been happening at Misty Acres over the last few months! More beds gone, rainwater collection on the poly tunnel, new shrubs for interesting foliage, all the beds have pallet collars on them now and weed suppressant down, more wood chip to go on the paths as we get it. Was spending too much time weeding and this is making a big difference. Loads of seeds ready for pricking out and potting on now. Second lots of sweet peas and ranunculus underway. First lot in the poly tunnel. Flowers will be available Easter weekend @downsviewfarm and markets starting up soon at Hailsham on Saturday mornings and the new in at Herstmonceux second and fourth Thursday morning each month. It’s going to be a busy season, three weddings to do too … but very much looking forward to the new season! #spring #gettingardenready #weddingflowers #bouquets #jamjarflowers #flowermarkets #hellingly #hailsham #horsebridge #eastbourne
