Taking a look back at one of our favourite weddings from this year so far 💍 ☁️

Ellie & Razzek had their dreamy wedding ceremony in front of our unique water fountain in the gardens at Walcot Hall this summer and it was perfect ✨

They also spent sometime with their guests on the lawn outside the ballroom for drinks and canapés before heading inside for speeches and their wedding breakfast in the ballroom 🍾🥂 which of course was followed by dancing 🪩 💃🏽

Tucked away in the arboretum and raised on stilts overlooking one of the natural pools is the Harvest Moon Yurt 🛖

Walcot Hall’s hidden hideaways are glamping in the truest sense of the word! We are off-grid, so don’t expect to find electricity, but there are fairy lights and candles for when the night draws in. There are hot showers and quirky flushing loos just a short distance away, as well as a small kitchen area with a gas burner and running water.

Inside the yurt, there is a comfy double bed, single daybed, wood burner and a small camp stove with a kettle.

Pictured is Green Glory ~ situated in the arboretum, with stunning views over Shropshire’s Longmynd this Showman’s Caravan is an authentic caravan which has been renovated and redesigned to suit people looking for a holiday with a difference.

This accommodation sleeps 2, it has one double bedroom, a living room with a log burner and sofa and a separate kitchen which has a table and seating and a simple camping stove for cooking. It is also dog friendly 🐾

We are open for the National Open Gardens Scheme on Sunday, May 26th, and Monday, May 27th May ✨

We will be open to visitors from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm 🕰️

Admission is £5 for adults, and children enter for free 🎫

The Plassey, a luxurious cottage at that sleeps up to 6 people 🍃

Enjoy high ceilings, grand windows and an open-plan layout with under-floor heating ✨

The patio windows here open out onto a decked area with excellent views of the garden beyond and access to the arboretum is just along from the outside deck, along with views of the grounds and water fountain 🌲

Plassey has one double and one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower with screen and of course like all our accommodation here, it is dog friendly ✨

The ballroom at looking grand as ever for Josh and Emily last year 🥂🤍💍

Facts ✨

Edward Clive, Earl of Powis, built the freestanding Ballroom at Walcot Hall around 1800 and it has since seen over two centuries of magnificent occasions.

The Ballroom can accommodate 100-120 guests for a seated wedding reception and up to 200 people for an evening party.

Step into the Chapel this spring and enjoy and unique and peaceful break in the Shropshire countryside 🍃🌻🗺️

Saved from destruction, lovingly re-assembled and embellished by the finest woodworkers of the West, the chapel stands serene and sublime amongst the English oaks and chestnuts of the Walcot Arboretum. It is for more adventurous and agile, accessible on foot only via a 500 yard meander from the stable block and car park.
