We are delighted to introduce our Forge Festival 2025 Early Career Artists!
Each artist will be commissioned to create a solo live performance piece inspired by 'Life Through a Lens - Young People in 2025' for Forge Festival, whilst also receiving a bespoke package of mentoring and support from TKP and a range of industry professionals. We are so excited to begin working with them in 2025!
Here's what they have to say about being involved...
Amy Clark - “I’m a performance-maker, making work at the intersection of performance art, experimental theatre and choreography. I’m so excited to be an Early Career Artist and have the opportunity to develop my artistic practice within Cumbria and to create a piece of work for my home county.”
Orla Collier – “I’m a freelance Dance Artist from Cumbria and based in Leeds. This project feels particularly special as I’ll be working and performing in my hometown. I’m so excited for the opportunity to create new work and to connect with the other Early Career Artists!”
Heather White – “I am extremely excited to be an Early Career Artist developing new work with The Knotted Project for Forge Festival 2025. I am particularly looking forward to creating work which could be displayed in unconventional settings and learning more about my creative practice through this opportunity. This venture feels like a return to some of my earliest creative inspirations and I cannot wait to get started.”
