Spent today at Cranford Community school with a group of year 7s. Teaching them about the birds. How what humans are doing impacts the birds. Working on their self esteem. Flying the Tawny owls, Harris Hawk, Barn owl, Kestrel and a Western Screech Owl. 9 birds in total with 30 young people. We also disected wild owl pellets at first the pupils were not keen to touch the pellets or the bones inside. But the soon got stuck in. We even had a break through with one of the pupils. So feeling very pleased with the day.
I had to go and buy a 2025 diary as I have already taken lots of bookings for 2025. If your thinking of having us please get in contact.
Hi guys can you help me please
,
I’m getting in touch from BBC Radio Berkshire.
I organise our annual Make a Difference Awards that recognise people and groups doing things to help make Berkshire a great place to live.
I wanted to let you know that this year we have a new category that might be of interest – Animal!
This will be awarded to an animal that improves the life of an individual or group of people - or a person or group of people working with animals to improve animal welfare.
I wondered if you might now of an animal, person or group who deserves some recognition? I should say that you can’t nominate yourself or someone you work directly with in your own organisation – you’d need to get someone else, perhaps a service user for example, to do the nominating.
All the info and the nomination form can be found here:

Today we had a wonderful day celebrating with Gigi on her special 30th birthday. We flew some of the birds and did lots of handling. People were so fascinated by the birds and asked lots of questions. Hopefully have a much better idea about helping them. Even as adults it's still amazing to have a barn owl fly over you. We do parties for all ages and groups.
I feel so blessed today. We visited a family in Penn with 3 generations celebrating a 88th birthday. It was wonderful to see their faces the smiles and questions was amazing. If your thinking of something very special for someone this is it. Xx
On Friday we visited Camp Mohawk a place for children and young people with special needs. The young people always love holding the birds and talking to my volunteers and myself about the birds. We spend a amazing two hours with them. To see their faces and see them interacting with us the birds and each other is very special.
This is a fantastic little cafe and shop would recommend going there.

What a busy day. A fantastic holiday club with the birds. Then into the woods with a wonderful family and volunteers to fly our Harris Hawk. It was lovely and cool walking in the woods watching lightning flying from tree to tree following us. The firns are very high so sometimes felt like we were in the jungle. We are still taking bookings for hawk walks. So feel free to get in touch.

A lot of people think that when they see a baby bird on the ground it needs rescuing. The truth is, now is the time a lot of young birds are fledging and learning to fly. Sometimes they'll fall to the ground, but just watch what Fagin (our baby western screech owl) does when he wants to get to the highest point. He climbs! Birds will use their feet, their beaks and wings to climb up the bark of a tree, in this instance he's using me as that tree. A lot of wild birds will have their parents watching over them to help. Please think before picking up a bird to help it. As good as your intentions are, it isn't always necessary. Of course if the bird is in immediate danger or clearly visibly injured then human intervention may be the only option in which case your local wildlife rescue will be the best people to call for assistance. Nature is an incredible thing ❤️🦉
This is mental health week for us. I would love everyone to take the time to just breath go for a walk and think about yourself. Be kind to your self. It's OK not to be OK. It's OK not to be perfect. One of the things I love to do is take Buddy or Lightning Mc Queen my harris hawks out for a long walk in the woods. Watching them fly through the trees, listening to the birds and the leaves russelling is so peaceful and calming. Why not book a hawk walk and see for yourself. The booking is for 4 people in your private party. #hawkwalk #mindfulness #mentalhealth #bracknellforest #bracknellsmallbusiness #DepressionAndAnxietyAwareness
Fancy a walk with a hawk? Walk through the woods as Buddy flies through the trees following you. Call him back to the glove and the off again. It's a fantastic even spiritual experience. Get in touch.
