It’s been a while but here’s a little lovely afternoon tea wedding we catered for yesterday in the woods at . The fabulous baked the main wedding cake and we provided the scrumptious spread.

Next wood fired pizza nights (eat in or takeaway) are Friday 24th and Friday 31st May. Pls bring some sunshine!

We’ve missed our pizza nights!

Holiday and peak season Fridays you can now get a pizza at Snail’s Pace Cafe - our original cafe on the Camel Trail - and this coming Friday sees the last of the Easter hols pop up pizza nights (back again May bank hol weekend).

The sun is out Friday night so msg Snail’s Pace Cafe or give them a call on 01208 851178 to book in your takeaway or table. Local beers & ciders also available and of course a chat with Nick whilst he works his magic on the pizza oven….

GASTROPOD NEWS!

We have reached the end of our 7th awesome season and after many many months of contemplation we have made the difficult decision to move on from our beloved Gastropod site.

Juggling two cafes, four kids and an events catering business has been getting a little too much for us so we are slimming down what we do and concentrating on being more present for our small amazing humans as we watch them grow up too fast.

We want to thank all our lovely cafe customers from over the years, our incredible staff team and our close friends at for all their love, hard work and support.

Have no fear as there will continue to be a fab on-site cafe (we totally plan to visit ) and we are continuing to offer World Food events catering through the name Gastropod.

Day to day from March until the end of October you can of course visit us at our sister cafe (please do!) - where there is an almost limitless supply of homemade organic cake, great coffee and lots of other delicious things - including supper club pop up evenings and possibly some wood fired pizzas too!

So here’s to new adventures and pastures green and all - currently updating our website to reflect this.

We have so many lovely memories of the past few years - from world food nights to weddings to parties and more - thank you all for being part of that!

Last night’s Middle Eastern Night - Tahini roasted cauliflower with halloumi, aubergine, hummus, pickled salad, Turkish salad, chillis, gurkins, tzatziki on woodfired flat bread! 😋 And chicken shawarma for the meat eaters! 🥙
