AEPG reveals up to £50M event & leisure regeneration plan at East of England Arena

In an announcement to staff and stakeholders today, June 21, 2022, Asset Earning Power Group (AEPG), the owners of East of England Showground Services Ltd (operators of East of England Arena) revealed that it has embarked on a £50M regeneration plan to develop the venue into a purpose-built leisure resort.

The development will include entirely new conferencing facilities, accommodation, a health & wellness centre, as part of the leisure village - completely transforming the venue from an existing agricultural showground into a modern and versatile event and hospitality destination.

East of England Arena invests £175K in new machinery and vehicles 🚜

The East of England Arena and Events Centre has taken delivery of its £175k investment in brand new plant and machinery, upgrading and expanding the existing fleet of tractors, utility vehicles, handling equipment and mowers used to move, build and manage the 250 acre indoor and outdoor exhibition venue, with the last unit delivered on April 19, 2022.

East of England Arena has now taken delivery of a new Kubota M5112 tractor, two new utility vehicles - one diesel and one electric - a new 12-metre electric scissor lift, and a Manitou MT 933 telehandler, in addition to a zero-turn mower deck, a 6m triple gang mower and a 3-metre dropside trailer.

Cambridge Rock Festival traces its roots back to 2004 and the start of a family-run festival - run by rock fans for rock fans. It's widely regarded as the friendliest and most relaxed rock festival in the country and boasts a great range of rock music for every taste. Join us for an unforgettable night of raising money for Cancer Research, as Ultra White Collar Boxing(UWCB) comes to the East of England Arena tonight. Doors open at 5pm for this hugely popular event that has taken the country by storm, and is now the fastest growing contact sport in the UK. Tonight's boxers are all amateurs who have trained for 8 weeks, found their mojo, and are ready to show their skills and fitness off in a series of bouts throughout the evening.

UWCB has already raised over £24 million for the charity Cancer Research UK since 2009 and intends to take that figure to £50 million with the help of every hero who signs up and every audience member at its black-tie gala evenings.
