The forecast of high winds this Saturday means that we have had to press pause on the start of the Boscawen Street Christmas Markets as we are removing this Saturday's street market from Truro’s Festive Market programme.

The on Lemon Quay will still launch tomorrow, 22nd November, on Festive Friday, coinciding with the city's lights switch-on celebrations. Visit the village of wooden cabins every day, from tomorrow right through until Christmas Eve for a magical experience at Cornwall's biggest Christmas Market.

Over the weekend, the Truro Christmas Market is open Saturday from 9am until 5pm, and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. However, Truro Farmers Market will not be taking place on Saturday 23rd November due to the high winds.

The first of our twice weekly Christmas Street Markets on Boscawen Street will now start on Wednesday 27th of November for Truro's first late night shopping day alongside the return of the Father Christmas Parade. From Wednesday 27th of November right through until Christmas you can join us every Wednesday from 9am - 9pm and Saturday from 9am - 5pm for our festoon lit street markets. Expect locally created and curated seasonal gifts, contemporary craft, art & design, sustainable home decor & lifestyle wares, vintage finds, artisan food & drink and fresh local produce all alongside a street food quarter, community connections and great live music!

Please note that Boscawen Street will now be open on Saturday 23rd November to the current restricted traffic as the road closures won’t be taking place.

I'm so excited to be heading into our BIGGEST shop small Christmas yet with 13 (lucky for some) magical market days showcasing a changing line up of over 130 amazing small, local & indie artists, designers, makers, bakers, growers, producers, creators, curators and producers all celebrating the season ✨✨✨

The Seascape 24 Auction is LIVE!

This is your chance to own an original artwork inspired by the Cornish seascapes that we know and love, your chance to support local artists and your chance to support the event's amazing community partner.

On Saturday Newquay welcomed 6 wonderful artists to the BIG Newquay Market as part of the month long celebration of creativity that is the . We watched in awe as they worked live in the great outdoors to sketch, snip and paint 12 wonderful original artworks. Thank you to all the artists for being a part of the first Seascape Live Art Event.

We're looking for a selection of Designers and Makers to be part of a showcase Spring 2025, London Olympia, 12-14 January. Top Drawer is the UK’s leading Design-led event, connecting handpicked brands with the very best retailers in the Gift and Home industry.

The showcase will be presented under the .frontier banner and will feature up to 8 lead exhibitors alongside a Cornwall Shop Small Curation of micro makers. If selected, a subsidised contribution is required, £750 for lead exhibitors and £150 for micro makers, including support to get showcase ready.

There's just two more BIG Markets to go before we take a break for our Christmas Market Tour and we're rounding things off with two amazing celebrations of shopping small, eating local, community connections and creative joy ✨

🍂 First up we're back in TRURO on the last Saturday of this month, October 26th for an Autumn special. We'll be setting up alongside our friends at Truro Farmers Market back in our usual home on Lemon Quay. There'll be over 60 STALLS featuring the most wonderful small, local & indie makers, creators, producers and curators all celebrating the season 🍂

🌊 LAST CHANCE OPEN ARTIST CALL 🌊 closing 5pm this Sunday 13th of October

Seascape: a Live Art Event & Auction.

Join us on the Killacourt on Saturday the 2nd of November at the BIG Newquay Market to watch local artists at work as they are inspired by the wild Atlantic seascapes of our coastal town. An auction, with split artist and community group profits, will launch on the day to give you the chance to bid on your favourite artwork, support Cornish artists and give to a local cause. Seascape is a real celebration of our coastline, artists and community.
