After a successful first year at Anna Connor Events we are currently looking to add a new member to our team.

Job Title: Events & Admin Assistant
Hours of work: 9.30-2.30 Monday to Friday (some evening work as required)

Job purpose and key responsibility

Events
Research venues, suppliers and contractors
Research opportunities for new clients and event
Ensure consistent approach to clients and meeting and maintaining quality control of this process at all times
Comply with the stated general office working procedures during the preparation of events
To undertake site visits for the pre-planning of events
To liaise with all suppliers and venues effectively
To ensure that all relevant and appropriate H&S documentation, risk assessments and method statements relating to the events are completed professionally and maintained in the appropriate places
To assist in the delivery of the event on-site, ensuring that the highest standards of professionalism are maintained throughout
Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events

Administration & general
Maintain and manage databases as required
Assist in the delivery of a social media strategy for Anna Connor Events
Update social media posts and websites
As part of the ACE team, build and develop professional and appropriate personal relationships with clients
Draft and send invoices as required
Act as positive, professional and responsible ambassador for ACE

Nine arts projects have been awarded funding totalling over £49,000 as part of our Small Grants funding programme in June. The money will be used to support arts initiatives in communities across Northern Ireland, including projects in Limavady, Belfast and Derry/Londonderry.

Supported through funds, the Small Grants Programme is designed to encourage organisations in Northern Ireland to get more people to engage with the arts through creative, community-based projects.

Grants are awarded by the Arts Council on a monthly basis and organisations can apply for up to £10,000 to support projects in any art form, including music, drama, dance, literature, visual, and participatory arts.
