Its official, our new location is a haunted farm👀🌾🚜🐑🐄👻

We have to keep the name of the farm private but we can confirm that it located beside Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland, close to Matfen & Stamfordham.

This is a one-off paranormal investigation, as there are plans for these buildings to be developed next year.

The event is Saturday 28th February 2026. Tickets are £30pp and we will only be taking a small group. Payment needed upfront to secure your place.

We will be announcing a brand new location exclusive to Spiritus this Friday at 5pm.

We have been asked to keep its name private at the request of the owner, who is worried that it may hinder future development of the land and attract thrill seekers to this very rural community in Northumberland.

It has a lot of history on the land around it dating back nearly 2000 years and tragedies that have occurred in recent decades.

This is a one off event - probably the only time you will ever be allowed inside these 300 year old buildings for a ghost hunt.

We have been aware of the stories of this place for a while, and its hauntings date back through generations of family ownership, and whisky I’m told everything that supposedly haunts it is friendly, the activity can still be unsettling.

It’s creepy in the daytime, it will be even creepier at night. We can’t wait to take a very limited number of you on a very exclusive night in such an incredible private location!

Stay tuned for Friday! It will literally be a first come, first served basis.

During the night, we split into 2 groups. The group downstairs attempted to make contact with a spirit of John Alexander Fuller Maryland, a medieval music restorer who lived in the house until his death in the 1930s. People report hearing music still.

We attempted this by playing music from a phone that could be similar to what he could have listened to, to encourage activity.

Meanwhile, a group on the top floor of the building (3 floors in total) claimed they could hear old music and a girl’s voice from outside of their room.

We tried numerous experiments to attempt to test whether this music (playing only through a mobile phone and at 50% volume) could travel to the otherside of the building and then up 2 floors.

We found that even if you stood outside of this ground floor room, it was faint, and in the library above this room, it was not audible at all, therefore unlikely that it could be heard on the floor above that one.

We tried swapping round and playing the same songs and everyone present confirmed that the music was not travelling to any other room in the building. We tried a chimney theory and pointing the music towards the windows and this also did not work. We even bashed on the piano and those loud notes also could not be heard upstairs.

Some more investigation pics from our Halloween ghosthunt and sleepover in Borwick Hall.

Over the course of the night, our highlights included:
* Being able to hear old medieval music (which fits into the stories of it being haunted by a man called John Alexander Fuller Maryland, a medieval music restorer who died here in the 1930s. This was reported by multiple guests at the same time.

* Something walking past one of the outdoor lights, causing a shadow to pass across a room (seen by 2 people), prompting us to go outside in the pouring rain to do a security check to make sure people were not accessing the gardens.

* Knocking sounds in the cellar, along with a stuffed toy REM pod alarming too when placed on its own.

* Footsteps outside of bedroom doors during vigils

* An SLS camera capturing a figure in the area of an EMF meter spiking

* A locked off camera in the main hall overnight sounding like it gets tapped on the top (around 5am when everyone was asleep in the bedrooms).
