Weekend accommodation in Scarborough isnt cheap. Our next ghost hunt is at the end of June at the Scarborough Grand Hotel. We have a special offer where guests can sleep over with breakfast at a huge discount (DM us if you want that).

Here’s a few facts about the venue.

1. It was opened in 1867 to cater for a book in tourism, in the shape of a V to honour Queen Victoria. It had 365 rooms (for each day of the year), 4 towers (for each season), 12 floors (for each month) and 52 chimneys (for each week of the year).
2. 3 people sadly lost their lives during construction of the hotel.
3. Before a hotel was built here, it was the site of a church, before becoming hospital cottages. It was in one of these cottages that Anne Brontë died, and her ghost is one of many said to haunt the hotel.
4. The area around the hotel was badly bombed in 1941, killing several people. It is claimed that Adolf Hi**er told his bombers not to hit the hotel even though anti aircraft guns we’re on the roof, and he would court marshall that did, because he admired the structure and wanted it for himself if Germany won the war.
5. Famous guests include The Beetles and Winston Churchill.

For guests coming to the ghost hunt at Harraton tonight, just be careful using just the postcode for navigation. It appears that the postcode covers a large area including an industrial estate up the road. While the postcode is right, some maps will naviagate you to a point away from the venue.

It will be easier to just enter the name of the venue in full just to be safe. You need to be where I’ve drawn the circle, not where the postcode pin is.
