Heavy heart post.
What a whirlwind 6 years it has been! I’ve worked with so many amazing couples and suppliers to bring wedding dreams and goals to life. But, after sprouting my latest sprog, the demands of family life and basically two under three (it was 2 under 2 for a time there!) and a busy husbands schedule, my little business is going on hiatus for a few years now. I may still be able to do my workshops for hen dos or Mother’s Day but will keep you posted. At present though I’ve got to put the little hurricanes of energy and love first. Hopefully see you all soon and thank you for supporting my business so far.
Its not goodbye forever, but I’ll see you soon.

This weather is definitely giving me al fresco dinner vibes! What better way to bring more sunshine to your table than with gorgeous fresh citrus fruit name place settings () and the most divine blue and white styling!

You can use texture and pattern to elevate your dining experience inside or out, bring personality or dare I say a ‘theme’ to your day by creating a mood board and think outside the box for something a little more personal.

It’s not just the front of the staircase that got done love 💕 but both sides had beautiful tumbling wild flowers creating the most gorgeous scent in the air and making it extra special for my couple!

When speaking to your florist, make sure you ask about both sides of the staircase and if their quote is for 180 or 360 degrees of florals!

It’s been five years since I launched my own business alongside my full time job.

Five years on and the biggest thing to come out of it so far has been the number of people I have helped. From brides and grooms, to families of those getting married and hundreds of suppliers along the way, helping people with their weddings and special events has been such an honour. I’ve loved helping to reduce the stress of planning in the early stages and in the exciting run up to, and then on the day coordination, battling with multiple unforeseen conundrums (never an issue or a problem that can’t be solved-just a puzzle!). I’ve pivoted my business through covid, the changes of the wedding world and also my passions balanced with my new family life and have learnt so much through self-directed study and from others.

I now design, style and flower beautiful venues, creating stunning installations and have teamed my love of teaching with floral design and run workshops in flower crown, seasonal wreath and bouquet making. Ibe grown my own flowers at my allotment for weddings, and created online workbooks to for brides and grooms to be, and crafted not one but two websites, updating the backend and creating my own graphics, brand and brand story.

Building this business has been difficult at times, exhausting, terrifying, amazingly rewarding and fun - all this alongside full time work and now balancing two little kiddies, covid, two house moves and one to come imminently! I’ve learnt so much about myself and about balancing books, tax assessment, budgeting, starting a podcast, social media, SEO, and audience segmentation, marketing both online and offline and so much more. One thing I’ve not learnt yet is switching off!

Although I’m in maternity leave at the moment, I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved and look forward to seeing how to pivot the next change…

I’m carrying something a little different around lately! If you’ve missed my story, to update baby boy no.2 arrived last week so the flowers are on hold for a little while but I cannot wait to get my apron and snippers back soon and bring you the fantastic workshops and beautiful weddings 🥰

I’m missing the mess! It’s been a few months now since my last wedding thanks to this bun in the oven who will be making his appearance in the next few weeks… but my gosh I miss getting my hands on flowers and most importantly missing teaching those lovely hen dos! I’ve always loved teaching others and workshops were always one of my favourite things to do…. I can’t wait to hopefully reopen the books soon! 🥰

It takes two baby ….🥰

This sunshine has been just wonderful but the garden is looking a little parched, especially as the outdoor taps stopped working!

I sadly had to say goodbye to the allotment a few weeks ago, it was just getting too much with a toddler and being pregnant. But I’m hoping that in a years time I’ll be able to get back to flower growing as I loved being able to use a few flowers over there past year or two in your wedding flowers.

It’s all about the centrepieces for this table! 🍽 I’m so often asked what to do in the centre of tables that could be a little different, a little playful, or just maybe not the norm. Here you can see a variety of different adornments to bring the table to life. I appreciate this table is hugely laden with glorious pieces, and not ideal when considering the placement of your wine, water and food… but you can take a few of these and bring a little life to your tables. I always encourage my couples who are open to something a little different to start rummaging in second hand shops and car boots. Bringing beautiful vintage books to the table can add height and create a beautiful theme. Using wooden spools can bring a little whimsy and nostalgia. Pine cones and conkers are super for autumn weddings and free! Candles of course create elegance and light and you can bring height or depth to a table depending on the votives or candlestick. Fruit and veg are a really fun way to bring colour and theme to your table. And of course flowers can be a huge impact, but you don’t always have to have huge arrangements if you don’t want them!
