Important Update

Whilst we have previously enjoyed inviting people into our home and grounds, Stradey Castle has always been, first and foremost, a family home.

Ed and Nia have recently had twin girls.
During this special time, especially with the need to abide by coronavirus restrictions, Stradey Castle will not be open to the public for weddings, exclusive events or heritage tours.

We are also no longer able to sell firewood from the estate woodlands

We would love to know your thoughts : would brides and grooms ‘to be’ like the option of hiring the wilderness garden or woodland around the lake for exclusive use for outdoor celebrations and photoshoots that comply with covid rules? 🍁🍂
Please comment & share with people who may be interested and let us know what you think.
Sending best wishes,
E & N

We are delighted to introduce the newest additions to the Mansel Lewis family; Alba & Bronwen (Bronnie), non-identical twins born on 12th August (the glorious twelfth).

They are shown here with their parents Ed & Nia who moved to Stradey this year (just before lockdown) as part of a planned family handover.

The twins are the eighth generation of our family to live on the Stradey Estate (and seventh to live in Stradey Castle).

Swipe right to see all the other generations of our family that have lived at Stradey (in reverse chronological order)

Please can you all help us spread the word that the castle, gardens and woodlands at Stradey are private property.

We do open the castle and gardens for tours or exclusive events on certain occasions, but for most of the time it is a private home.

Particularly during this time we would appreciate it if people would respect this and not come onto the estate, to help us protect our workforce, private residents and our family. Thank you.
