We meet at salsa, she used to come to our Cuban salsa classes, so adorable and humble.
Never mentioned she was a dancer and started joining the beginners 🙈, that already tells you a lot about a person...
She had a knee injury and she would rarely work with samba shows in London, but the potential was always there, (for the ones that can recognise talent 😉 of course...) She started to work with us at our "Manana Project" as a ballet teacher for kids in 2016.
After the surgery, she trained so hard, and now she has achieved all her goals. 🙌🏽💃🏾👮🏽♀️
We are the luckiest ones to have her as one of our choreographers and above all... our true friend!
Gracias "minha preta" por aguantarme 😂, it is amazing to work with people that share the same values, ethics, and passion, plus... to have the freedom of being our crazy selves around each other 🤣.

"World Theatre Day"
If living from the theatre is already hard anywhere in the world, you cannot imagine what it is like in Cuba! 😅.
On this day, in honour of the theatre, I could not stop naming this show "Vamos Cuba", which I carry in my heart ❤️. I have had the privilege of being involved since the beginning of the creative process with my incredible Nilda Guerra.
I have been able to live all the difficulties that this superwoman🦸🏿♀️ has had to go through to create a show of that calibre and present it in the West End.
For me, working for @sadlers_wells on this production was a professional challenge and an incomparable experience from which I learned a lot and loved it.
The conditions and limitations that dance companies work within Cuba can be harsh and complicated, but they are very rewarding.
The talent in this country is impressive, but even more so is the humility they have and the love they put into what they do ❤️.
I hope that after the pandemic, people stop taking for granted Threatre and financial help is provided to support outstanding productions like this one.
