Testimonials:

“Graham Starkie has provided PA hire for most of the monthly folk music concerts held at The Barn in Baston over the last ten years. He has been our resident Sound Engineer and has worked with many of the top names in the business. He is always punctual and highly professional. Graham is meticulous with his preparation for each concert and artists invariably comment on the level of

care and precision which he brings to each performance. He uses equipment of a high specification and is always patient when faced with the unexpected. I can recommend Graham without reservation to all promoters and artists. He is also a musician who enjoys music from a wide range of genres. His empathy with performers ensures that the quality of the service is always first class.”

Graham Starkie provided the PA rig and sound mixing for the outdoor stage for the 2016 Witchley Warren Festival in Ketton, Rutland. This involved supplying and setting up a full 8K rig and monitors and line checking and mixing five live bands, each with very different requirements (folk, rock, latin and ska). I can thoroughly recommend the service he offered. The equipment was all set up on time and the sound throughout the event was excellent. Graham was very responsive to the needs of the event organisers and those of the musicians. He also provides this quality of service at a very competitive price. “Graham supplied technical support, equipment, installation and advice for our recent production of ‘The Sound of Music’. We had in the past had many issues with audibility, feedback, equipment malfunctioning/inappropriate mics for the setting etc, but Graham spent a good deal of time checking out the acoustics and size of the venue, the existing infrastructure and our specific needs, before sourcing and installing our stage mic setup. He then attended a technical rehearsal to check all was working and to train our very young sound engineers and their adult. We had never used such a system before, but the whole set-up worked brilliantly and many people commented on how much of an improvement the sound was on previous years! Graham did a great job and I would recommend him.”

Graham Starkie has supplied pa for and engineered many of our gigs in the Goldmark Gallery over the years. From the intricate folk instrumentation of Eliza Carthy Trio and June Tabor and Friends to the jazz bebop of the Bennie Maupin Quartet, world music of Sans to the pop of This is the Kit to the drum and bass electronica of John Metcalfe, Graham’s ear is always sympathetic, the sound clear, rich and focussed. His work enables these great musicians to communicate directly with their audience without ever getting in the way. What more could you ask for? Jay Goldmark, goldmarkart [email protected]

Jay Goldmark, goldmarkart [email protected] Quotes from Gainsborough FOAOTMAD festival

“Great working with you. Certainly all the feedback I had was beyond positive.”

“it is great to see so many good comments from our members, both on Facebook and on our feed-back forms, on how good the sound was in the concert room. Your professional approach has been praised by all the performers, especially our guests from the USA, and I would like to thank you on behalf of Foaotmad.”

‘Great on the sound. Massively appreciated’
