And finally, completing our lineup, we are beyond gassed to welcome Jay Duncan (). Jay has been one of our favourite artists ever since we heard her music.

Drawing from a deep well of dubwise hypnosis and ‘90s tribal house, Jay Duncan crafts slinky, sexed-up cuts and body-led sets that move like a ritual to sweat.

Forged in the heat of q***r parties, warehouse floors, and London squats, she’s carved out a sound shaped by ecstasy and community. As a resident for Adonis, she channels that raw, euphoric energy into every set, equal parts pressure and pleasure.

With a background in experimental dub production and years spent behind the counter at various London record shops, Jay brings a deep, intuitive knowledge of music to the booth. She builds tension through texture—letting repetition breathe, inviting groove to fracture and reform.
The dance becomes a kind of trance: playful, primal, and just slightly possessed.

A founding parent of our community, sea elegans' blood flows through the veins of Vasuki. Its sound is characterised by a profound reverence - for the music in its own right, and for the cultural and philosophical contexts it sits within. The past few years of sonic research have represented profound leaps in the development of its nature - assimilating and transmuting our understandings of fields such as classical, dub, techno, jazz, krautrock (and more broadly - the meaning of life itself) - into something increasingly sitting within its own category.  The sound is beautifully twisted... Beguilingly distinctive...sometimes making you question what the actual f**k you're hearing. Across the past decade, as a DJ its steered the helm at many a cathartic night, and as a producer it's been slowly building, refining and exploring - Saturday will be a first reveal of some of these musico-sonic experiments, in what we feel is shaping up to be a beautiful night full of friends and friends-to-be. 

The M.O.T. soundsystem will be tested to its limits : )

We are delighted to share that Michael Diamond () and Alex Flower () will be joining forces once again, showcasing the next iteration of their electroacoustic duality. A central part of the Vasuki sound is exploring the intersection of the human dimension of physical, acoustic instruments with the electronic dimension of circuit- and computer- based music. Alex and Michael have a wonderful dynamic, with Michael synthesising the decks and fx pedals to create a structure of harmonic dub club music, into which Alex weaves his live saxophonic improvisations. We hope you enjoy this merging of soundworlds in real time, once again recentering the human in the musical process, mutually exploring new textures, timbres and meanings.

Michael Diamond is a producer, dj and the label head of Vasuki Sound. With a number of EPs and his debut album "Third Culture" (VASUKI001) receiving critical acclaim, he has cemented himself as an emerging talent in the UK's electronic and jazz scenes. He joined Giles Peterson's Future Bubblers and received Youth Music's prestigious funding for this album debut.

Alex Flower is a brilliant virtuoso, not only highly proficient at jazz saxophone, but exceptionally talented at a whole range of different instruments. He has provided a consistent source of creative inspiration for the Vasuki musical ecosystem.

The pair will be front and centre of MOT on Saturday, and we're absolutely looking forward to seeing what they bring to the moment. Tix on RA and moving fast!

Gaby D'Annunzio ( ) is a DJ, radio host and community activist. She co-founded the immensely respected Berlin radio station Refuge Worldwide, playing an instrumental role in the consolidation of refugees within Berlin. Her actions are a shining example of the power of music to connect us all together. Her love of music and people really does come across in her selections in her sets and as radio host on SSFM.

Her quest, spanning decades, of collecting vinyl has led Gaby to amass an impressive volume of rare records - we can expect to hear some of these on the 31st.

Her sound, rooted in dub and jazz, is deeply versatile, but always is music both for bodies and minds. We're really excited to have her further open up the space, following att0sec's live opening set.

Once again, we can't wait to see you the week after next! Keep an eye here as we continue to announce the lineup. Tickets in the bio as always!

att0sec, our friend and resident drummer, will welcome us all to Venue MOT. He and his trusty drumsticks, trigger pads, and copy of Ableton Live will take us from silence into a lockstep rhythm of subs, percs, harmonies and grooves. His sound and selections reflect a deep love, knowledge and obsession of the vibrant and historic landscape of UK club music. Expect radiant dub catharsis and a kind-of positively reinforcing, human-in-the-loop, kaleidoscope gyre of sonic exploration.

In just under two weeks, We're so excited to have you all at MOT for a late one! This will be really special.

When we held Michael's Placid Wakefulness EP launch party at last year it was so nice to see new friends there. One of those was who after hearing the tracks got on the mic, said some lovely words about the record and then asked us to be the first guests in a new series of events she's hosting. It focuses on music as a route to wellness, obviously a related topic to the themes that inspired the EP. This year Linett marks her 40th anniversary as a prominent figure in diaspora soundsystem culture and were honoured to have the pleasure of hosting a listening event with her custom-built rig, as heard at Notting Hill Carnival.

So we present a very limited capacity listening event on 27th Feb. We're talking super intimate (~30 ppl), listening to the EP off the system, comfy warm yoga mat and cushions lying down on the floor and zone out vibes. Feel free to bring (non-alcoholic) drinks / food to share. It'll be a wholesome space. Free, but RSVP is needed ASAP so please fill in the form on / linett's bio.

Location is near Notting Hill.

Happy new year from Vasuki 🐍
2024 was great, so many good memories with lovely people - thanks to those who were a part of it in any shape or form, we'll have plenty more for you this year and hope to see some new as well as familiar faces.

Here are some pics of our 2024. Highlights included the night at Loki, Michael's new record, the discussion at Jumbi, and all those thousands of hours in the studio.
