Mega night at Upside Sounds in Bristol on Friday. Great venue!! Outside area with fire was a nice touch. Bands played during the day then techno with Ed Cox myself and Chris Lib. Plus that lads from the Stomp Soundsystem to finish up the night. Great to catch up with Robin Weallans and Dan Mikata.
A great great old school night dreads and boot and caps and roll ups. Made me all a bit nostalgic 😎

Bio:
Isa Alkaline Larissa Christofoletti , a São Paulo native, immersed herself in the techno party scene in 2006, starting her DJ journey the same year. Currently based in London, she's been a fixture at parties and festivals (The Beat Goes On, Boomtown), electrifying audiences with her dynamic sets. In 2020, Isa broadened her musical horizons, delving into electronic music production. While her love for acid techno is evident, her style, as her name suggests (Alkaline), encompasses a variety of techno subgenres beyond acid. Known for delivering infectious beats with sets full full of heavy groove, fat basslines and 303s.

An absolute legend, from Rotterdam, Speedy J (real name Jochem Paap) has been producing and playing some of the words best techno music since the very early 90s. Starting off with releases on Sheffields legendary Warp records and Richie Hawtins Plus 8 records, Speedy J made a huge name for himself as being a producer of quality electronic music from day one. His style always been difficult to tie down, moving from hard acid, to electronica and broken beat, Speedy Js history of music covers a broad range of musical genres.
Since then Speedy J has been involved in a multitude of projects, most recently STOOR, a project that started as live sets being streamed and mixed together during lockdown, which has culminated in some incredible live shows with other artists regulars such as Surgeon and Lady Starlight at the Paradiso in Amsterdam during the ADE weekenders.
We are absolutely honoured to have Speedy J with us playing his Hybrid DJ/ Live set for two hours on the glorious Fold sound system.

We are really excited to bring MarAxe over for his debut at Fold for the Hydraulix party 12/10. We've been huge fans of his work and his latest release on Hydraulix is always in the playlist, solid techno grooves, dark percussive and really well produced, perfect for a Hydraulix party.
Bio:
Swedish based deejay and techno producer Markus Axelsson aka MarAxe, has established himself as one of the top techno exports from the Swedish techno scene. He has his roots in the early 90´s techno scene were he also started his deejay career. His productions are driven and hard and he has had a slew of releases entering the Beatport top 100 techno charts. Senga Ep, released on Planet Rhythm (2023), made nr 1 on the Junodownload bestseller chart aswell as his release Zulu Ep (2024) on Hydraulix.
Ever since he was featured on the NL 500 compilation from Naked Lunch records early 2020, he has had releases out on a variety of labels such as Hydraulix,Naked Lunch, Planet Rhythm, Soma, Sway, Kne´Deep, Remain records - Just to name a few.
As a deejay his style reflects the music he creates and he has been featured on both international aswell as domestic events.MarAxe has gained support from Carl Cox, Dj Rush, D.A.V.E the Drummer, Rebekah, Ellen Allien, A.Paul and many more and he is well on his way to make his mark on the global techno scene!
