I'm hanging up my apron! My customers and fellow traders have been utterly awesome, so much fun and I have meet some wonderful people. I will miss you. All regulars will have free coffees and teas on my last Friday...this Friday 9 Sept! Hope to see you there.

There was some debate on the Crowthorne Traders page about different stores or stalls taking business from locals. I just wanted to comment! I have worked with retailers since starting work. There is little cannibalisation in Crowthorne - either the high street is thriving or dying…its about variety, the size of the cake, not the size of the slice! The market with super high quality veg, fish and other artisan stalls, Lidl (German ownership), Co-op (Manchester HQ) and even Costa (HQ being the billion dollar Coca-Cola HQ in Atlanta) all drive tremendous customer traffic to the HIgh Street and to all of us. Variety and competition (my coffee is superior and better value to Costa Coffee!) is a good thing.
