This morning, I had the absolute delight of visiting my oldest son’s school to talk about what it’s like to be a Prosthetist/Orthotist! The kids were so engaged as we explored a range of samples, including a trans-tibial prosthetic limb, a silicone partial foot, and an upper limb prosthetic glove. Thanks to and for supplying these samples for the talk. They were a huge hit.🦾🦿We also looked at 3D-printed insoles, 3D-printed AFOs, TurboMed AFOs, and knee braces for OA and ligament injuries.🦶🦵👣A huge thank you to for the amazing goodies—the children absolutely loved picking something from the goody bags your items made up.Thanks to .a.p.o.1 for sending me a copy of the new eductional video on our profession which is inspiring.I’m passionate about educating and normalising prosthetic and orthotic devices, and today was an incredible opportunity to share that passion. The children also had a blast testing out my pressure plate, learning how I use technology to help people walk better, with less pain and fewer symptoms. They were fascinated by how I analyse data to improve mobility!🦾🦿🦶🦵👣🫶 It was such a rewarding experience—who knows, maybe we’ve inspired some future Prosthetists and Orthotists today!🫶
