👟 Exciting News from LEWis BRAND Orthotics! 🌟 We've been given a unique opportunity to create solutions for a young child with sensory-seeking behavior affecting his feet. 🦶💙 The little boy hits his toes on the floor when in his wheel chair or adapted seat which means he is wearing holes in the toes of shoes within 2 weeks and regularly gets bruises and skin break down on the toes. In the past he has had orthopaedic boots supplied by the NHS which have been too heavy, restrictive in movement and limited his desire to get around. 🔍 We have decided to trial the following options as a start point: 1. Custom insoles with neurological sole plate additions by Blueprint Ltd. 2. Lightweight trainers from Nimco via De Novo Healthcare. 3. Skechers trainers with reinforced rubber toe area done by Beagle Orthopaedic. 🤝 Collaborating with the child's physiotherapy team, we aim to provide lightweight, flexible, and protective solutions. Our goal is to enhance sensory feedback without the need for repetitive hitting.📆 The trial started this week, and we're eager to see the results.
