A smallholding with alpacas, flowers, hens & bees. Located between Wadhurst and Lamberhurst we offer an afternoon tea or picnic lunch and a chance to meet our friendly alpacas. We love seeing the photos you all take of our alpacas when you come for Afternoon Tea. And the alpacas love to strike a pose!! I thought it would be fun to start a series of your photos. So please email them to me (or message me on FB) and I will feature them. Here is Pat celebrating her 90th birthday by visiting our alpacas and enjoying our afternoon tea. The alpacas loved being part of your birthday celebrations and so did we!

The alpacas think our Afternoon Teas are all about them but there are also some other contributors like the hens with their eggs and now it’s summer the courgettes, cucumber and flowers all grown by us. But of course the alpacas are the stars of the show! (Don’t tell the hens!!).

Five years ago today 6 gorgeous alpacas arrived from Spring Farm Alpacas and now we have 16. Well that’s how it goes with alpacas coz you just fall in love!! 😍

We survived Storm Ciaran and got a new paddling pool thanks to all the rain! Smudge and Treacle can’t understand why if you’re already wet you want to get wetter?! Bosky and Rameses are loving it!

The days are shorter, weather wetter and colder as nature prepares to close down for the end of autumn and winter’s arrival. While my flowers outside come to an end the dried ones seem to be taking over quite a few rooms inside!

Last week the dahlias were basking in the sunshine and flowering their socks off and this week we had our first frost. So it’s time to say so long, farewell and thank you for a colourful, flowery season. Even the snaps and cosmos have been enjoying our late extended sunny days 🌞💐🌸

Hmm, I thought Pancake was going to smell my flowers, turns out he prefers to eat them! Cheeky boy! Dahlias are edible. I use petals to decorate cakes if I get them passed the alpacas at the gate!!

Hmmm this Spring weather is testing my patience! We get a bit of sunshine then rain and it’s gone cold 🥶 But sowing seeds is sowing hope for future days of summer and flowers 🌸. My Seedlings growing here are Strawflowers, Snapdragons and Cosmos. Go guys you’re my sunshine for today.
