The humble white chrysanthemum, the staple flower for a vast percentage of our floral tributes, used by florists far and wide for lettering, hearts, pillows, cushions, wreaths and countless bespoke designs.
This seemingly insignificant little bloom is currently the cause of much stress, anguish and worry throughout the florist community.
Why you ask? In the last few weeks, the cost price of this flower has increased by over 50%, it has more than doubled, almost tripled in the last year and it is increasing every day. Chrysanthemum, traditionally known as a ‘cheap’ flower is currently far out pricing premium flowers such as roses, lily and lisianthus (which has also doubled in price recently!).
Due to the rising energy costs some growers have gone out of business, some growers have turned off their hot houses halting production and those remaining few have had to pass their rising overheads on to us, their customers. The demand currently far outweighs supply which is affecting all colours and varieties of chrysanthemum and a lot of other flowers.

To all our customers old and new..we buy fresh stock every day so if there is anything specific you need a colour or a certain flower you can ring us and pre order for the next day or message on fb messenger anytime and we will cater for all your needs..

As from today the 3rd October our minimum price for a handtied bouquet will be £20 plus delivery charge..unfortunately the flower prices are not going down and we can not absorb the price increase ourselves without compromising the quality of our flowers and service
