💖A very personal tribute today at Park Wood, Elland for a very hardworking local photographer who's speciality was weddings.

💖 With a few studios dotted around Yorkshire this gentleman made a wonderful living for his family from something he was very passionate and good at, capturing special moments in the lives of many. He leaves a lasting legacy.

Before the ceremony we had an extensive questionnaire and meeting with her to really get to know us and she wrote us the most beautiful, personal wedding ceremony.

🌿✨💖 The epitome of an English wedding! Congratulations and love to Ryan and Chelsea who celebrated their wedding with friends and family at the fabulous Woolley Edge Christmas Tree Farm!

🌿✨💖 Chelsea arrived in this adorable VW Vintage Beetle with not a hair out of place! It was a magical moment to see her groom watching her walk down the aisle.

🌿✨💖 Two special readings were shared.....one quite romantic and the other very funny before Ryan and Chelsea battled it out with the best of three 'Rock Paper Scissors' to determine who read their vows first!

🌿✨💖 Their guests did them proud and I couldn't be more proud of them. Have a wonderful time in Santorini! My love and congratulations to you both 💞🥂.

💖✨🌿 I'd love to know your thoughts on the ' love locks'......do you have a padlock? If so is it here on this bridge in Bakewell?

💖✨🌿 Here's what's happening: "Love locks are to be permanently eradicated from a famous bridge in the Peak District following claims that people have been injured by them.

Visitors have placed thousands of padlocks on the bridge in Bakewell over the past decade, making it a tourist attraction in its own right.

But Derbyshire County Council is removing the locks to do maintenance work, then changing the design of the bridge so locks cannot be attached in future.

A councillor claimed that doing so will "improve public safety" because of the risk of "grazes and cuts from protruding locks".

The council said it had received "comments" from people who had injured themselves.

"As people have added more and more locks to the bridge, they unfortunately stick out, increasing the risk of injury," a spokesperson said."

🌿💖✨ The effortlessly beautiful Hazel! Our first toast of the day was incorporated into the ceremony, with family and friends from Dubai, Ireland and Canada hanging on to their glasses this was a magical wedding!

🌿✨💖 Anne-Marie of Spring Wood Flowers smashed the wildflower brief with the stunning columns and floral decorations throughout the venue at Cockley Wood Weddings .

🌿✨💖 Last Glastonbury post I promise! I always send a postcard from the festival; one is to my mum as it's her birthday over the weekend. The other is a brand new tradition to my gorgeous new grandson and his mummy and daddy.

🌿✨💖 Throughout life we continue our family traditions even when our loved ones are no longer with us; it keeps their memory alive....it's also an opportunity to introduce new ones so the invisible link keeps us connected.

What is the difference between a Handfasting and a Handtying? My Celebrant friend and Queen of Handfasting gives further insight into this ancient ritual below:

"I would like to describe a Handfasting Ceremony as a full ritual, involving spirituality and the associated rituals.

I would like to describe a Handtying as the act of tying the hands. A standalone ritual with or without spirituality.

What is a Handfasting?

A full Handfasting ritual will generally be conducted in an outdoor spiritual place, usually, in nature and the rituals are all grounded in pagan traditions. A Handfasting ritual does not involve the establishment of a church or state. The ceremony is purely spiritual and has no legal status.

Couples may have a deep spiritual connection to nature and wish to hold the ceremony under the sky or stars, outdoors in a magical spiritual place that holds a special significance for them both.

A Handfasting is the complete ritual of not just the Handtying, but the drawing of the blessings of deities or earth entities. The area is blessed and made sacred. It may include the act of toasting and drinking from a loving cup and eating celebratory cake. The ceremony might also include a Sword and Chalice ritual or Oath Stone ceremony. These full Handfasting Ceremonies are meaningful and spiritual. The Celebrant will perform it with purpose and intent, going within, to draw on their own spirituality.
