The dining room at the Hall is also known as the Gargrave Room after a previous owner, Sir Thomas Gargrave. He was the Commons’ Speaker in the first Parliament of Queen’s Elizabeth’s reign in 1559.

The coat of arms of Richard Berrie adorn the back of the Hall, which was the front of the Hall when Berrie lived here back in the 1620s. Swipe for next photo to see what the arms would have looked like when it was granted by the College of Arms in 1626.
