A little while back I noticed that one of the buffet wheels had a small crack in it. Still perfectly usable, but not really good enough to hire it out. So instead of going into the recycling or landfill it now lives at Granny's house and comes out on special occasions and with adult supervision. This time it was used with an array of sprinkles so the kids could decorate their own ice creams. They would also work well for biscuit or cupcake decorating, or as fruit platters. The one wheel worked perfectly for the 3 kids, and if the sections were filled up it would work well for 4 kids. So whilst this one has a lazy retirement ahead of it, the other 8 that are in perfectly good condition are still available for hire.

This is a perfect example of why this scheme is so important to the environment. At a school event where approx 100 people attended this weekend there was only 1/4 of a bag of rubbish produced. That's an amazing achievement, and such an important lesson for children to be a part of. Well done Brightwell school for making your event as environmentally friendly as possible.

This is what it's all about, this is what I love. Having dirty plates, bowls, cups, whatever it is, but having dirty stuff come back to be washed and used again and again, rather than having disposables put into landfill. Each event is having a positive impact on our environment, and if just one person that attends an event goes on to hire a kit in future then it builds momentum and support and we all get to live in a world with less waste.

This weekend we had the pleasure of helping a local school make their PTA event more environmentally friendly. It was lovely weather, and lovely to help make memories for children and adults alike. ♻️♻️♻️

This week I've only quoted for one party. It's for 30-40 people and the quote is made up of 40 cups, plastic champagne flutes, cutlery, 150 plates, plus a few other items. No bowls, but 150 plates!

A kit is often made up of plates, cups and bowls, with cutlery and decorations being extra. But it doesn't have to be. If you have an event that only requires plates, or only cutlery, or you just want to hire some bunting, that's absolutely fine. This is all about making events a bit more environmentally friendly and making a bit of pocket money for me to spend in and around our beautiful town. So pop me a message and let me know what you'd like to hire at your next event. Whether it's an afternoon tea party for 6, or a large event with all the extras. Let's try and avoid single use items where we can. ♻️
