Hi, my name is Katie and i am the founder of the Krafty Kids Club. Previously I was a Graphic Designer, designing pieces for the famous Manalo Blahnik, Stella McCartney Fragrances, local companies and local Councils. After having children I decided to create Krafty Kids, a club where I could use my knowledge by thinking up fun, imaginative things for the kids to make and do. After talking with the

owner of a local kids indoor soft play I secured my first venue and now offer weekly themed classes at local centres and cafes throughout Surrey. However after being booked up for Parties and face painting most weekends I had to make the difficult decision to stop running the club classes and concentrate on parties, face painting and events. In 2016 we also became finalists in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for Best Childrens Business and i am proud to say we came 5th in Surrey! We now work with many large local Companies such as Knights Garden Centre, Purley Festival, Caterham Festival and Purley Bid.

We’re gearing up for a busy weekend of parties, which means crafting plenty of 3D unicorn horns to pair with our magical unicorn face paints! 🦄

Katie has been hard at work creating a variety of colorful horns this week, including some festive Christmas designs adorned with holly. 🎅🏻🎄

We love it when clients come back to rebook us year after year—it’s the ultimate compliment! This time, Piper chose a spooktacular witches-themed art party, and it was pure magic!

The children got to create three enchanting magic potions, complete with custom names and hand-designed labels. They crafted stunning sand art masterpieces and even painted and decorated their own ceramic cauldrons—perfect for brewing up some fun!

To top it all off, we played a high-energy, super-fun game that had everyone laughing and moving.

Last Sunday, we had an ocean of fun celebrating Amelie’s 6th birthday with an incredible Under the Sea theme! 🎉

The kids got creative making magical under-the-sea lanterns, filling dolphin-shaped sand art bottles with vibrant colors, and decorating wooden photo frames with shimmering embellishments and seashells—it was a crafting paradise! 🐚✨

We kept the energy flowing with classic party games like pass the parcel and musical chairs.

A big Happy Birthday to Amelie! We loved being part of your special day! 🎂💙🐠

One of the most common questions we’re asked when face painting at parties is: What’s the best way to remove the face paint afterward?

Here are my top tips for gentle and effective removal:
1. Gently massage mild soap with a small amount of water into the skin.
2. Use a warm, damp cloth or cotton pads to wipe away the paint.
3. Rinse the face thoroughly with clean water.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 if needed.
5. If any staining remains, apply a gentle facial oil to remove any lingering pigment.

Important: Avoid using facial scrubs or products containing alcohol, and never scrub the skin to prevent irritation.

Today, we had the joy of hosting a magical 5th birthday celebration for a lovely little girl named Margot. The party took place in a truly enchanting setting—a park nursery that felt like stepping into a fairy tale. It was the perfect backdrop for our whimsical fairy-themed activities. 🧚 The children created beautiful fairy sand art masterpieces (some of the boys chose to decorate woodland animals and sea creatures). The girls also crafted their own sparkling fairy wands✨, while the boys designed adventurous backpacks🎒 fit for magical journeys. What an amazing day! We had the whole team out today for a joint 40th birthday at Kew Gardens. It was a beautiful setting, and the high tea theme fit perfectly. There were over 50 children who got to decorate canvas tote bags and wooden photo frames which were a hit—so creative and fun! We also had our glitter bar out with glitter tattoos, festival glitter, and even hair glitter which added that extra sparkle for the kids. Well done to the whole Krafty Kids Club team for running the craft tables and the glitter bar for such a large number of children and a huge Happy 40th birthday to Anita and Sachin! Our Story

Hi, my name is Katie and i am the founder of the Krafty Kids Club. I started Krafty Kids in July 2014. In 2002 i achieved many A Levels including Art and Design Technology. I then studied this further and in 2008 I acheived my Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design and was soon working in a local Graphic Design company designing pieces for the famous Manalo Blahnik (shoe designer), Stella McCartney Fragrances, local companies and local Councils. After a while I left and intended to start work as a freelance graphic designer. After having children this led me to create Krafty Kids, a club where I could use my knowledge by thinking up fun, imaginative things for the kids to make and do. After talking with the owner of a local kids indoor soft play I secured my first venue and now offer weekly themed classes at local centres and cafes throughout Surrey. By holding the class in a child friendly environment, children are free to choose between fun and creativity. At Krafty Kids we are all about the fun of making art, and the art of having fun. In 2016 we also became finalists in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for Best Childrens Business and i am proud to say we came 5th in Surrey!
