Happy New Year! It’s probably a bit too late to say that now, but it still feels like it’s quite early on in the year and this weather is making hibernation more appealing! It’s been a very slow start to the year for me (flower-wise anyway!) but I am looking forward to ramping it up and flowering lots of lovely weddings and parties later on this year. The parties start next week, so watch this spaces for lovely flowery photos soon!

I’m the world of COM:POST (my real job!) it’s been a very BUSY start to the year with the collection of over 200 trees in the first week of January and bags full of lovely festive green waste winging their way to the compost site. It’s going to be a brilliant year for us at COM:POST with so many amazing opportunities coming our way so follow .uk to see what we get up to!

Who fancies making a wreath in one of these beautiful festive igloos this year?

I’m thrilled to announce that this year my ever so popular wreath making workshops will be held in the igloos at in Cobham. There are three nights to choose from and you will receive a delicious glass of Prosecco to ‘help’ with the creativity! Plus you can book a table for dinner before or after the workshop to make a proper night of it.

Let's talk colour...

I love using colour and believe that a little bit of something should be incorporated into your day. It doesn't need to be full on colour everywhere but a touch of something personal to remember your day is really special. And it doesn't even need to be colourful flowers, I love using colourful tapered candles amongst the flowers or perhaps a little colourful ribbon around each napkin just to make a little difference.

What's your favourite colour? And are you thinking of incorporating it into your wedding flowers, or did you use it on your special day?

HAPPY NEW YEAR PEEPS!

Guess who's back!? Back from a lovely sunny holiday in New Zealand, feeling ALL the jet lag (when will it end?!) and fully prepped ready for a busy year ahead.

This picture was taken during sunnier and drier times when my workshop was accessible and the river wasn't flooded. I am very lucky to have a workshop right on the river banks in Walton-on-Thames, but every now and again it floods quite drastically and means that I can't get in! They'll sort it out soon, but at the moment I'm WFH which I don't mind at all...it's a lot warmer, and there's a loo!

I'm taking tons of bookings at the moment for weddings this year, exciting times are ahead so if you're planning a wedding and want to chat flowers then get in touch. I'd love to hear from you!
