Now I’ve started this I know you’re all desperate to know that we make it through Hertfordshire and Essex and are now waiting for the ferry to Holland for a glide into Amsterdam. 58 miles today plus diversions most of it in heavy rain and even some hail - but we kept going. We’ve now done about 215 miles with another 60 tomorrow. The bike is safely stowed with a piece of rope. 🇳🇱 here we come.

So we made it to Bishops Stortford. 85 miles and over 7 hours in the saddle. This is a genuine picture of how much it hurt at the lunch break and I had to dig deep to get back on the bike and reach the overnight stay. So if you haven’t dug deep yet - here’s a link.

So today I started the Bristol to Amsterdam cycle ride in aid of the charity Young Lives vs Cancer. Here’s a picture taken before departure from Bristol this morning. We did 75 miles today, are now in Oxford and I’m hurting. If you’d like to make the hurting better and help me forget we have 86 miles tomorrow please feel free to throw a pound or two my way. We have been working tirelessly to reschedule this year’s incredible Leeds Castle, Kent and in true wartime spirit, everyone has pulled together following the delay by the Government on the easing of restrictions.

We are delighted to still be able to bring you the best concert yet with the world-class Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, just slightly later in the year than planned.

We thank our existing ticket holders for bearing with us and we want you to know how vital your support is to us. Let’s keep calm and carry on in September!
